As we reach the end of our first term, we wish all pupils, staff, and their families a very happy Christmas.
Thank you for all your co-operation and support over the past few months.
Christmas Show
All the children of our school will be performing in our Christmas Play,’The Magical Christmas Jigsaw’,on
Thursday, December 14th @6. 30p.m in Youghalarra Church. Preparations are well underway, and the children
are thoroughly enjoying the experience.
TY Play
4th,5th, and 6th class attended the Transition Year Show in St. Mary’s Secondary School on Wednesday,
November 22nd.It was a great show. Well done to all involved, especially our past pupils, who welcomed us on
the day.
STEM
During Science Week children took part in many science experiments and activities, which they really
enjoyed. Photographs of these can be viewed on our website and on twitter/X.
Staff In-service
School will be closing on Thursday 7th December to facilitate staff training on the new Maths Curriculum.
CBS
6th Class boys have been invited into the C.B.S Nenagh on Friday, December 8th. The boys will have classes
there in IT, Visual Art, PE and Wood Technology and get a tour around the school. Lunch will also be
provided.
Christmas Holidays
School will be closing at 12p.m on 22nd December for Christmas holidays and will re-open on 8th January 2024
at 9a.m.
Aladdin
All communication from the school and class teachers is communicated through Aladdin Connect. Please
ensure you have notifications for Aladdin switched on.
Aladdin Connect should be used to

posted here regularly.
Enrolment
Enrolment forms for September 2024 are available online. If you are aware of any child that is due to start
school in September 2024, can you please inform their parents/guardians that enrolment is now open.
Parent/Teacher Meetings
Parent/Teacher meetings for all classes were held in November.
If you would like to contact any class teacher during the remainder of the year you can contact them via
Aladdin.
Mr.Brislane will hold meetings for parents of 5th and 6 th in the first term of 2024.
Please note that teachers may not get to read or answer messages immediately. If it is an emergency, please
contact the school directly.
BOM
A new BOM has been established. The first meeting will be held next week.
School Grounds
Please note that the school grounds are private and that they should not be used as a walkway or for
socialising, walking dogs etc. inside or outside school hours.
Reminders
School starts at 9am. Children should not be on school grounds before 8.55 am as there is no supervision
before then. When raining the children can enter their classrooms which will be open from 8.55 am.
Please continue to drop your children at the car park and let them walk down independently.
All children should be dropped off in the car park. As previously stated, it is too dangerous to drop children
at the school gate. This applies to all children.
