some bonding with their little ones. Welcome to all the new parents and learners who have just
joined the school.

We would like to wish all our Wendywood mums a happy Mother’s Day for this Sunday, 9th May.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING LEARNERS WHO DO NOT LIVE WITH THEIR

PARENTS :
In future, all non-legal guardians will need to visit the Civil Section of the Johannesburg
Magistrate’s Court at 41 Fox Street, Johannesburg City Centre to validate guardianship of
children in their care.

FUNDRAISING :
We still require prizes for various fundraising events, such as raffles, etc. Therefore, we request
parents to kindly donate prizes to our school. We would also like to extend our grateful thanks to
all those parents who have, in the past, already donated items to our school for fundraising.
Your generosity and kindness are greatly appreciated.

MAKE YOUR CHILD A SUPERSTAR :

Spend quality time with your child every day. The following inexpensive ways can add quality to
your family:
 Share homework time.
 Play games together: scrabble, chess.
 Prepare meals together.
 Pray together.
 Go out together to places of learning: zoo, museums, parks and libraries
 Share mealtimes together.

COPIES OF CIRCULARS :
Generally speaking, circulars are issued on Mondays. Parents are requested to check that their
children bring them home. We number the circulars, in order to enable parents to keep track of
them. Spare copies are always available from the School Office, as are copies of our extra-
mural timetable. Please read them through with your family. A good suggestion is to highlight all
activities or information pertinent to your family as a reminder. This is a good life skill and
teaches organisational skills. Circulars may also be found on the d6 Communicator.

EASTER EGG COLLECTION :

A big Thank You to our school families for the wonderful collection of Easter Eggs. The class
which brought in the most Easter Eggs was Grade 7 Trask class and the child who brought in
the most eggs was Obinna Umeala in Grade 7 Conley. We definitely made a difference to a lot
of children and are extremely grateful for the wonderful response to our request.
