Heinz beans
Our school has decided to participate in the ‘heinzbeanz’ challenge of collecting tokens for sports
equipment. We ask that all families who buy beans to collect the tokens on the tins and send
them into school with your child. There is great sport equipment which the school can avail of for
free in exchange for the tokens. This competition will run until February and we hope to reach up
to 2000 tokens. Spread the word !!
School parking
Unfortunately the ‘Garda Station’ can no longer be used for parking during collection times. The
building is undergoing renovations at present and those responsible have not given us the right to
park there at present.
Healthy lunches
We ask that all children in the school continue to bring a healthy and nutritious lunch to school
each day. Our healthy eating policy states that children do not bring treats to school with the
exception of Friday. On Friday a small treat is allowed but not necessary. Chocolate bars,
biscuits jellies and chocolate or Nutella spreads are not recommended for lunches because of the
high sugar content.
