NEWSLETTER
NUMBER 30 / SUMMER TERM 2015 / WEDNESDAY 24TH JUNE 2015
SANDIWAY
SPORTS
A
very
sport-themed
newsle<er
this
week,
with
lots
to
share
with
you.
As
you
will
be
aware,
it
is
one
of
the
last
and
current
governments
aims
to
increase
the
involvement
of
all
children
in
sport
in
schools.
We
receive
a
sports
grant
each
year
which
is
ring-fenced
money
for
the
enhancement
of
sport.
As
the
last
two
years
have
progressed,
we
have
used
this
money
with
increasing
eect
for
the
benet
of
all
the
children
in
the
school.
I
know
many
parents
have
enjoyed
sharing
the
informaLon
on
the
sports
noLce
boards
and
watching
their
children
at
sporLng
events.
I
am
very
grateful
for
the
oers
of
transport
to
take
children
to
these
events.
As
a
result
of
all
the
hard
work
that
has
gone
on
this
year,
every
child
in
the
school
has
had
a
variety
of
experiences
of
sports,
movement,
dancing
and
coaching.
This
has
ranged
from
country
dancing,
street
dancing,
coaching
by
PE
specialists,
compeLLons
in
school,
compeLLons
with
local
schools
and
across
the
Borough.
Cricket
We
have
more
compeLLon
with
a
girls
team
narrowly
losing
by
7
runs
in
the
semi-nal.
The
second
team
performed
strongly
in
their
group.
In
mixed
Kwik-
Cricket,
we
also
took
two
teams,
one
of
which
has
qualied
for
the
Vale
Royal
nals,
due
to
set
o
at
Lme
of
wriLng,
and
the
second
team
also
fought
hard
with
excellent
teamwork.
