Dear Parents and Children

Pizzas, wraps and biscuits were the order of the day for cooking this week in Year 2. Everyone involved worked really well and the results looked really delicious. Many thanks to Emma and Yvonne for helping to co-ordinate this. We look forward to the next cooking event. Mr. Dare and Mrs. Lynch, our Validators have visited this week and asked us to share with you how pleasant they found their morning. They will be back to visit on 3rd July. We keep our First Holy Communion Children in our prayers this week. The School Council has introduced the new House Saints (see below). Mrs. M Sanderson

This will take place at Christ the King College on their Athletics field (Upper College Site), with kind permission of the College Principal Mrs Goodhead, and through the hard work of the Colleges PE Department. ALL children are asked to bring in a plain T-Shirt of their house colours to wear when they are at Sports Day. If people would like to put their names down to man stalls, make teas and coffees, etc. the please either text or call Josie on 07752468911 - or speak to any member of FOSTA. Also if anyone has a pop-up gazebo that we could borrow on the day, we would be most grateful. We also need a length of rope for the tug of war (we think a 6 metre piece should do it but won't be fussy if it's a bit longer!) Raffle tickets Thank you so much to those parents who have already returned their tickets sold. The raffle is a great way to involve people who cannot join us on the day. Please return your sold tickets to the office. We've also had to rethink the Sunflower Competition as we had no idea the flowers would be so big already!! Please can we ask that a photo is taken of your child stood next to their sunflower. On the back of the photo please write your child's name and class, plus the measurement of the sunflower (measured from top of soil to the highest point on the sunflower).
