CHOCOLATE CAKE

INGREDIENTS
200g of 70% dark cocoa

175g of butter, softened

175g of caster sugar

4 eggs separated

115g of ground almonds

75g of self raising flour

1 tbsp of cocoa powder

Glossy chocolate sauce


115g of caster sugar

175g of chocolate, broken into


squares

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Mix all ingredients and put them into the


tray (we didn't have a suitable size so we did
two layers instead). Put the tray into the
oven for 40 minutes. When that’s done,
check it to see if it is baked properly. Once
you’re satisfied, let it cool for a while and GLOSSY CHOCOLATE SAUCE
then pour the chocolate sauce on the top Place the sugar and water in a saucepan and heat gently,
and sides and then enjoy :) occasionally stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Stir in the
chocolate, a few squares at a time, until melted, then add
the butter the same way. Don’t allow the sauce to boil.
