Down to Earth Theatre Company brought their new show LIFE ON EARTH

The theatre company put on a performance for all of the children in the school at the on
November 8th. Inspired by the environment and the Biosphere LIFE ON EARTH they
communicated environmental messages in a fun and interactive way. The company used
performance, song, puppetry, art, and audience participation as tools with which to
engage students making them think seriously about key environmental issues and the
importance of being environmentally and socially aware.

Music Generation
Members of the Music Generation Board ,Wicklow County Council and other Board
members paid a visit to the school on Thursday 9th November to observe our Coral music
teacher Leslie Dowdall interact with the 5th and 6th class. They were very impressed by what
they saw and praised the children highly.
Annual Christmas Concert

Annual Christmas Concerts will be on Tuesday 5th at 7.30p.m. for the Junior and Senior
Infants in the School Hall. 1st - 6th class concerts will be on Wednesday 6th in the Community
Hall at 7.30p.m.
A donation of spot prizes for the raffle would be gratefully appreciated. Please drop into
school before the concerts.

Carol Service
Our annual school Carol Service will be on December 18th. Fifth and sixth class will take part
with other national schools in the church in Ballymore.

Homework Club
Ms. O Rourke will be trialing a homework club in the next term. This will be after the
Christmas break for children in 1st 6th class from 2.50p.m. 3:50p.m. Monday
Wednesday. More information to follow in the next couple of weeks.

Parents association events

Our parents association have been working really hard over the past couple of weeks
organizing raffles, The Christmas Fair and the community Spooky Walk. All of the events
have been a huge success and we would like to thank all parents who organized and gave
up their time for these events. The staff are currently working on an IT strategy to upskill
children using computers in the school. New computer equipment will be required for this
initiative . The money from the events organized will help significantly.
