Natalie Portman is from Jerusalem, in Israel (she’s Israeli) and she is also
from New York, so she’s American, too. She was born on 9th June 1981 and
she’s the only child of a multicultural immigrant couple. Her mother is an
American artist of Austrian and Russian origin and her father is an Israeli
5 doctor whose parents are Polish and Romanian. She’s married to the
French dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied and they’ve got two
children, Amalia and Aleph.
Natalie is a psychologist, but she’s best-known for her successful career as an
actress. One of her most popular films is Black Swan, an Oscar Academy Award winner. However, most
10 recently, her character Jane Foster in the film Thor: Love and Thunder conquered1 the world. She’s
brilliant there, as usual!
She has a common life and wants her children to grow up as normal kids. She wakes up really early
in the morning and prepares breakfast for the whole family. Her two children like helping her set the table
and prepare their lunchboxes. They like singing together, so it’s a fun way to start the day before school.
15 Natalie is vegan. She has oatmeal or avocado toast and a cup of coffee for breakfast. After
dropping off2 her children at school, Natalie goes for a run three times a week for an hour and it calms her
down. She goes alone because her husband doesn’t enjoy running. The actress is also a fan of the
Gyrotonic Method because it’s a combination of tai chi, yoga, gymnastics and other similar exercises.
That’s why she likes doing it regularly with her personal trainer. Her workout routine is very famous around
20 the world nowadays and her role as Jane Foster is also responsible for that.
The movie star and her family don’t usually have lunch together because of school and work. She
sometimes has lunch with a friend when she doesn’t have lunch meetings. However, Natalie and her
family enjoy dinner time and they eat all together at home. They love Italian food and they are also keen
on Japanese meals, but Natalie and her husband sometimes cook couscous and other Middle Eastern
25 food together. Their kids love it!
Natalie is usually in bed by midnight and she falls asleep easily. It really helps her have a more
relaxing, healthier and calmer lifestyle.
