Par1: personal information

1. Acommadation
-Do you live in a house or an apartment?

I live in an apartment with a living room, two bedrooms with attached bathrooms, and a
kitchen. It’s quite comfortable and convenient for me to go to school.
-How long have you lived in your house or apartment?

I’ve been in this apartment for almost two years. Before coming here, I lived in my
hometown with my family anf I hadto leave my house since I needed to attend a
university in the city.
-Who do you live with?

I live with my best friend because our universities are close to each other so
commutingis easy. We also get along pretty well so we don’t get bored when we’re
together.
-What’s your favourite room where you live?

I really like my kitchen because it’s where my housemates and I spent most of the time
to cooking, eating and chatting together.
-Is there anything you don’t like about where you live?

No, where I live is quiet. There is also a small shopping center and public transportation
such as buses nearby so i'm quite satisfied with it.
-What kind of place do you think you will live in the future?

In the future, I believe I would like to live in SaiGon. Because I find it easier to seek
employment here; this could help my career flourish in the near future.
-Would you prefer to live in the city or the countryside?

I'd rather stay in the countryside. it's quieter city and I also prefer the fresh air to the
smog in the city.
-Do you have a garden?

No, I live in an apartment and don't have a garden; instead, I have a small balcony
outside where I can grow plants.
-Do you live on your own?
No, i live in a apartment with my bestfriend. We can take care of each other if we're sick
and it won't be boring being together.
-Is it better to live on your own or with other people?

I believe it would be preferable to live with friends. They can assist me with cooking and
housework and can care for me when I am ill.
-Which room do you spend most time in when you’re at home?

I spend most of my time in my bedroom. It so comfortable for me to study and rest. It's
also the room that most reflects my personal style.
-Have you ever moved house?

Yes, I moved house for the first time when I moved to the city. It was difficult at first
because there were a lot of things to adapt to but now everything is better.

2. Hobbies and interests


-Have you got any hobbies?

Yes, I have various hobbies like riding bicycles, swimming and listening to music. But my
favorite is still watching movies. it helps me relax after a day of studying and it gives me
a lot of knowledge.
-Are there any hobbies you used to have that you don’t do anymore?

Yes, I love to dance but I’m not much of a dancer to be honest cuz I don’t have more
time for it. When I dance I find myself thinking too much about the steps instead of just
feeling the music.
-Is there a hobby you would like to start?

Yes, I want to start reading books as a hobby. Because it is a perfect source of knowledge
that helps me to learn more about the world.
-What do you like to do at the weekend?

On the weekend, i want to watch movies at home and take a trip with my family or
activities just make me relax after a long week at study.
-Do you like doing activities alone or with other people?

It depends on my mood really. I think most people need some time on their own.
Sometimes my study is quite stressful, so it's good to just get home and relax. But I get
bored if I am alone too much so I like to go out and meet friends in the evening or go
shopping.
-What do you like to do to relax?

I think whenever I need to relax I just go and hang out with my friends. We play card
games or joke around, talking about life. It’s wonderfully relaxing for my mind.
-How often do you do exercise?

I don't have enough time to exercise regularly. But I still spend my free time to go for a
jog, I want to keep fit and healthy.
-What are the most popular hobbies in your country?

In Vietnam, everyone, especially young people like traveling to places which have
beautiful scenery. That makes them feel relaxed and take a lot of great pictures.
-Do any of your friends have an interesting hobby?

Yes, I have many friends who have different kinds of hobbies. They are pretty active
people, so they like outdoor activities such as football, basketball, cycling, ...
-What do you do when you get home from your studies or work?

I study all day, so after 6PM is the only time that I can use for myself. I love to relax
myself by listening to music and watching my favorite films. I have a smartphone, so I
can download a lot of songs from the Internet for free, and I usually listen to them with
my headphones.
-Are there any hobbies you wouldn’t like to do?

I wouldn’t like to surf web too much. I want to avoid surfing negative news on social
media and focus on studying.

3. Celebrations
-Do you like going to parties?

Of course, i enjoy going to parties where i can hang out with my friends and dance to
excellent music. since we are still young, we ought to have fun.
-When was the last party you went to?

The last party I went to was a birthday party for my friend. We had a lot of fun eating
cake, singing karaoke and playing games together.
-What kind of things do people celebrate in your country?

Some of the things that people celebrate in my country are Lunar New Year, Mid-
Autumn Festival, National Day and Teacher’s Day. We usually have traditional food,
music, dances and spend quality time together.
-Have you been to a wedding?

Yes, I have. The wedding took place on the beach and It was so beautiful and colorful.
The bride and groom wore traditional clothes and exchanged rings and vows. There
were many guests and they gave gifts to the couple.
-What do you like to do at parties?

When going to parties, i like to enjoy the food there, it makes me full and happy. In
addition, I want to dance to connect with people at the party.
-What was your favourite party game as a child?

My favorite game as a kid was billionaire chess. This is a business simulation game where
players try to accumulate wealth and become a billionaire at the end of the game.
-How often do you go to a party?

I don’t go to parties often, maybe once or twice a month. I prefer to spend time with my
family or close friends at home or at a café.
-Do you like to dance when you’re at a party?

I like to dance when I’m at a party, but only if I know the people well and the music is
good. I’m not very good at dancing, but I could enjoy moving to the rhythm and having
fun.
-What’s the best food to serve at a celebration?

The best food to serve at a celebration in Vietnam is definitely "bánh xèo", a crispy
pancake filled with shrimp, pork, and bean sprouts. It's a popular Vietnamese dish and
perfect for sharing with a group.
-Have you had a party in your house?

I have had a party in my house once, when I graduated from highschool. It was a small
gathering with my family and some close friends. We had cake, fruits, snacks, and drinks.
-Which famous person would you most like to invite to a party?

BTS is famous person i most like to invite to my party. I’m a big fan of them so it means a
lot to me. We could enjoy foods, drinks and music together.
4. Travel
-Do you like to travel?

Yes, I like to travel very much. I think it’s a great way to learn about different cultures and
have fun.
-Have you ever lived in another country?

No, I have never lived in another country, but I would like to someday. Maybe I will study
abroad or work overseas in the future.
-What do you like to do on holiday?

On holiday, I like to do a variety of things. I enjoy visiting historical sites, museums, and
landmarks. I also like to try local food and drinks, and meet new people.
-Do you prefer lying on the beach or sightseeing?

I prefer sightseeing to lying on the beach. I think it’s more interesting and educational. I
don’t mind going to the beach sometimes, but I get bored easily if I stay there too long.
-Which country would you most like to visit?

The country I want to visit the most is Japan. I really want to learn about their culture,
technology. I also want to see cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji.
-Do you have many tourists where you live?

Yes, we have many tourists where I live. I live in Ho Chi Minh City, the biggest city in
Vietnam. It’s a busy and lively city with a lot of attractions and activities. Many tourists
come here to see the Ben Thanh Market, Cu Chi Tunnel, SaiGon Zoo…
-What’s the most interesting place you’ve ever visited?

The most interesting place I’ve ever visited is Ha Long Bay. It’s a site with thousands of
limestone islands and caves. It’s very beautiful and majestic. I went there with my family
last year and we had a wonderful time.
-Do you like to buy couvenrs?

Yes, I like to buy souvenirs when I travel. I think they are nice reminders of the places I’ve
been to and the experiences I’ve had. I usually buy something that is unique or typical of
the destination, such as magnets, postcards, or handicrafts.
-Are you going on holiday this year?
Yes, I’m going on holiday this year. I’m planning to go to Da Nang with my friends in the
summer. Da Nang is a coastal city with many beaches and resorts. It’s also close to Hoi
An, a ancient town that is famous.
-Do you like to travel on your own?

No, I don’t like to travel on my own. I prefer to travel with someone else, such as my
family or friends. I think it’s more fun and safe that way. I also like to share my
experiences and memories with others.
-What’s your favourite way of travelling?

My favourite way of travelling is by plane. It’s fast and convenient. It also allows me to
see more places in a shorter time. I don’t mind travelling by train or bus sometimes, but
they can be slow and uncomfortable.

5. Studying
-Do you enjoy studying English?

Yes, absolute. i usually watches movies and listening to music in English. That so fun and
interesting.
-Have you got a favourite room to study in at home?

My bedroom is my favorite room. it's quiet and comfortable so I can concentrate on my


studies.
-What time of day is your best time for studying?

Maybe 1am is the best time for me to study. it's quite quiet because everyone is already
asleep and it's easier for me to focus on my study.
-Do you like to study online?

No, i don’t. Studying online is so comfortable but I can't meet my friends and it's more
difficult to discuss about the lesson.
-What are the advantage and disavantage of studying online?

One of advantage of studying online is that it allows students to attend classes from any
location of their choice so it’s comfortable. And disavantage is it’s so difficult to focus on
the screen for long periods of time.
-What do you find most difficult about studying?
I think the most difficult is listening English. I can barely hear them speak English
because it's so fast and there's a lot of linking sounds. Also, the vocabulary are easy to
forget if I don't review them.
-How often do you studying Englidh every week?

I’m still a student so I study English two days a week in class and take extra lessons at
home if I have free time.
-Have you study English in a class?

Yes, i have. I’m still a student so I study English two days a week in class. Study in class
help me more easily get advice from the teacher and discuss with others when I've been
stuck by struggles.
-Have you tried studying with other people?

I haven’t since my English isn’t really excellent, so I’m frightened to share and study with
other, and I’m also afraid of disturbing them.
-Do you prefer studying alone or with other people?

Actually I prefer to study alone. Because, if I study in a group I cant concentrate on my


topic and most of the time I end up gossiping with group-mates.
-Which area of English do you find most difficult?

I think the most difficult is listening English. I can barely hear them speak English
because it's so fast and there's a lot of linking sounds. Also, the vocabulary are easy to
forget if I don't review them.
-Is the internets always useful for studing?

Just somtimes, we can use the internet to find document, that's very little for self-study
but if we depend on it too much, it will be difficult for us to progress.
-Is there a subject you would like to study?

English is the subject I like. It’s so interesting and I can increases my chances of getting a
good job if I know English.
