Subject: Interswitch Bypass Instructions

In the event of a failure within the Interswitch, it is possible to bypass the device and have the
Radars set up as a straight through system. The following steps will connect Transceiver A to
Display A and Transceiver B to Display B, bypassing the Interswitch completely.

SKTA to SKT1 SKVA to SKD1 SKTB to SKT2 SKVB to SKD2

9. Switch on both Displays, select the Initialisation – System Configuration page and set the Interswitch option to
NOT FITTED on both Displays. On Display B, check the HM alignment which may now be incorrect. If required
reset the OFFSET value in the TX A page. However, note this value before resetting and give it to ship’s staff
with instructions that this value must be re-stated by Service Engineer when the Interswitch is restored.

Note: The MIST facility will now NOT be effective and some mutual interference may be observed.
