1. How is dynamism being practice in the article?
- Dynamism is practiced in the article since self-care may be connected to the progress of an individual. Dynamism in self-care emphasizes adaptability, personal growth, and a well-rounded approach to well-being. It encourages you to be actively engaged in your self-care practices and to make adjustments as needed to support your overall health and happiness. Based on the article that I have read about self-care mentioned what we should do or actions we may do that will fall into different categories of self-care such as emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects. Also, they give a guide and steps on how to start a self-care routine. “What is Self-care and Why is it so important for your health?” since the concept of self-care is taking care of ourselves, doing the things we love, and choosing the things that put a smile on our faces, the concept of self-care may vary for each individual so we cannot say that this or that thing is not a self-care. I think self-care is one of the things that we may do to have personal growth and development as a human being.
2. What are the benefits of practicing self-care?
- There are many benefits we may get from practicing self-care, one of which is mentioned in the given article like self-care could be linked to longevity and other positive outcomes says Ellen K. Baker. It helps in longevity maybe because self-care includes physical activities that will make us physically fit like exercising. It also helps us to unwind or give ourselves time to relax from all the problems and stress every day. After recharging we may have the will or energy to face our problems. And of course, self-care makes us happy since it is the time that we do the things we love and put a smile on our face. In the article, it mentioned that self-care does not need to cost us anything or self-care is not a luxury, it’s a vital practice for maintaining a balanced and fulfilling life. By making self-care a priority, you can improve your physical and mental health, strengthen your relationships, and enhance your overall quality of life.
3. Can self-care help prevent disease or illness? How?
- Yes, I think self-care may help in the prevention of disease or illness. Having regular exercise, for me having a walk for example going to school is enough then gradually we may add sports or any physical activities. Having enough time to sleep, this one is also included in how to start a self-care routine, pick a bedtime, and stick to it. These two may help us to defend our bodies against or reduce the risk of having common illnesses. But of course, it would be better with the help of the professionals. Doing self-care on our own and self-care combined with professional medical guidance offers a holistic approach to health maintenance and reducing the likelihood of various health conditions.
4. What are some examples of self-care?
- In the article, it mentioned some examples of self-care, and here are some examples. Self-care entails a wide range of activities that promote mental, emotional, and physical health. Self-care can be shown physically by engaging in regular exercise, eating a balanced diet, getting enough sleep, being hydrated, and using relaxation techniques like deep breathing. In terms of emotions, it entails practices like keeping a diary to record ideas and emotions, practicing mindfulness and meditation to lessen stress, and developing self-compassion. Setting boundaries, spending quality time with loved ones, and getting support from friends or professionals are all important components of social self-care. Reading, ongoing education, problem-solving, and creating objectives are all examples of intellectual self-care. Meditation, time in nature, investigating one's personal views, and going to religious services are all important practices for spiritual well-being. This may help us in maintaining and even developing our overall well-being as individuals. 5. Do you have a self-care routine? How do you do your self-care routine? - Yes, I have a personal self-care routine. I'm doing my routine by having a rest or just sleeping because when this semester begins, we always have an activity, assignment, and quizzes that are piling up every week, that is why every time I find a vacant time I really sleep. Also, by do the things I love like watching dramas, entertainment, and vlogs, and listening to music, especially K-pop songs. I also make sure to spend time with my family, I’m always doing video calls with my family because they are in the province. The way of doing self-care is different for each and every one of us it may be based according to our specific needs and preferences, but we can establish a routine that contributes to a healthier and more balanced life.
