Course Description
The World History II belongs to the disciplinary field of Humanities and Social
Sciences and, therefore, seeks to contribute to the formation of citizens who are capable
of giving proposals based on solid knowledge. Its purpose is to develop the skills that
allow you to situate the historical events that are dealt with in the various historical
periods that have developed in the world, but that are related to Mexico, affect our
social reality and, therefore, our communities. Thus, helping you to value community
heritage and strengthen the values of equality, tolerance and solidarity, by
understanding the importance of building historical knowledge.

Course Objectives
The World History II subject aims to contribute to the training of reflective and
participatory citizens, who can critically interpret their social and cultural
environment, while valuing practices different from their own within a framework
of interculturality.

Competencies

1. Identify social and humanistic knowledge as a construction in constant


transformation.
2. Locate fundamental historical events that have taken place at different times in
Mexico and in the world in relation to the
Present.
3. Interpret social reality from local, national and international historical processes that
have shaped it.
4. Value social, political, economic, ethnic, cultural and gender differences and the
inequalities they induce.
5. Establish the relationship between political, economic, cultural and geographical
dimensions of an event.
6. Analyze with an entrepreneurial vision the fundamental factors and elements that
intervene in productivity and competitiveness of an organization and its relationship
with the socioeconomic environment.
7. Evaluate the functions of laws and their transformation over time.
8. Compare the democratic and authoritarian characteristics of various socio-political
systems.
9. Analyze the functions of the institutions of the Mexican State and the way they
impact your life.
10. Value different social practices by recognizing their meanings, within a cultural
system, with an attitude of respect.
Methodology

A teacher-led, student-centered classroom. The literature gets students excited to read


and respond through conversations and writing. The teacher models concepts for the
class, then students collaborate in smaller groups on specific tasks. Next, students
complete independent work and come back and share their learning. This framework
supports and challenges student to become collaborative and self-directed learners

Evaluation Procedures

The total final grade corresponds to: 45% for the 2 partial evaluations and 10% for the
semester evaluation.

40% Exam.

With a degree and a Master's in History, as a historian he is committed to the
preservation of historical memory and the recovery of history in its regional, national
and universal space, maintaining a critical vision of the present linking it with the past.
Seeking to integrate their society in the perspective of equitable and sustainable social
development that promotes respect for cultural diversity and care for health and the
environment. Working in disciplinary research, teaching and dissemination of history,
giving new meaning to the various human cultures and representations of the past in
disciplinary and interdisciplinary projects.
