Some expressions your teacher uses


At the beginning of the lesson

Follow these rules

You may ask questions freely at all times during the main study phase of the lesson. Try
to reduce questions during an activity/exercise.

Do your independent research if you do not understand a word. Look in your own

dictionary the translation of a word that you do not understand.

NOTE: if you encounter a word in your student’s book/workbook or worksheet/handout


that you do not understand, you must look it up. If you don’t and your teacher notices,
you need to re-write that word 500 times with the translation in a rattrapage.


Every homework on the WOCHEPLANG needs to be done even if the teacher didn’t
mention it in class.

NOTE: every homework that is not done, needs to be finished in the next rattrapage.


During your English class it is forbidden to go to the bathroom.

EXCEPTION: you let your teacher know in advance (before the class starts) that you are
not feeling well and that you probably need to go to the bathroom during the class


Put your phone in the phone box before the lesson starts.

NOTE: every phone that rings that is not in the box will be immediately taken away.

 Write your message in English. (It’s okay to leave some words in


German/French/Luxembourgish if the word is too difficult to translate or if there is no
fitting translation for the word)

NOTE: no messages in languages that are not English will be answered


The class is over when the teacher says so. You are not allowed to pack in before the
teacher gives you a sign even if the bell has rung. Not following this rule might cause a
visit to REFLECT.
