1.0 MV SWITCHGEAR PANELS & DISTRIBUTION

BOARDS :

Design, manufacture, supply & Delivery, Loading / Un-

Loading installation, testing and commissioning of
following Utility panels suitable for 415 V, 3 phase, 4 wire,
50 Hz power distribution system. The panel shall be
Indoor, free standing, floor mounting, sheet metal clad,
cubicle, dead front, dust and vermin proof type
compartmentalised design fabricated out of 14 SWG
CRCA sheet steel, complete with colour coded, heat
shrinkable PVC insulated, aluminium bus bars and
separate earth bus bar of adequate cross section through
out the length of the panel. The incoming and outgoing
feeders shall be accommodated in a fully segregated,
modular multitier arrangement with adequate size and
distinct cable alley, bus bar alley/chamber. The panel
shall be complete with name plate, earthing, numbering,
danger plate etc. as required and as per specifications
and drawings. The panel shall withstand the fault level of
as indicated elsewhere or shown in Single Line Diagram.

Important Notes: Common for all Switchboard:
1 The BOQ shall be read inconjunction with general notes,
specification and Single Line Diagram (attached for Ref.).
Incase of any discrepancy between specification, BOQ
and SLD, the same shall be brought to the notice of
Client/Consultant before quoting the rates, otherwise
stringent condition shall be deemed to have been
considered.

2 Fault current wherever mentioned shall be Ics value.

3 All MCCB shall be provided with door interlocked rotary
handle with ON/TRIP/OFF position indicator, continious
variable thermal magnetic O/C and S/C releases. The
MCCB above 250A rating shall be provided with
microprocessor based releases for over current,
selectable short circuit and instentaneous short circuit
protection (settable at site). I/C MCCB shall be provided
with E/F release/ protection also.

4 All feeder doors shall have pad locking arrangement.

5 All TP feeders shall have solid isolable neutral link.

6 All MCCB used in starter feeder shall be suitable for
motor duty application.
7 All power contactors including NIC shall be of AC3 duty.

8 All ACB's shall be with micro processor based O/C and
S/C releases and Breaker Control Switch (BCS) having
lost motion device. I/C ACBs shall be provided with E/F
release also. Bus coupler shall be provided without
releases.

9 Spare contacts of ACB/Relays/Contactor etc. shall be
wired upto terminal block.
10 All switchgear used in starter feeder shall be type-2 co-
ordinated. Manufacturer is required to submit
manufacturers type-2 co-ordination chart for the make
used.
11 Capacitor shall be heavy duty type (MPP technology).
12 All outgoing terminals (power and control) shall be
brought upto cable alley. 10% extra terminals shall be
provided.
13 10% extra indicating lamp in loose shall be supplied
along with panel.
14 Removable lifting hook shall be provided in all
transportation section.

15 All CT, PT shall be cast resin.

16 All Multifunction meters shall be digital type and with RS-
485 Port for communication compatibility.

17. Panel shall be powder coated of approved shade with

minimum 60 micron thickness.
18. ACB's/MCCB's in one particular panel shall be of one
similar make.
19 Size of Voltmeter / Ammeter for incomer also, 96mm x
96mm flush mounted with shrouded terminal shall be
used in the panel.
20. Bus bar chamber shall be kept at top of the all panels.
21. All bus bar shall be insulated with coloured PVC Sleeve
i.e.RYB,BK as per colour code.
22 Internal wiring of panel shall be with size 2.5sqmm
Flexible Copper Conductor for CT circuit and control
wiring with 1.5 sqmm.
23 All Lift Panels transport section should not be more then
1000 mm.
24 In soft starter Vender should supply power contactor with
aux. Contactor & All necessary accessories required etc .
(As per BOQ & specification )
25 All indicating light shall be LED type .
26 Each vertical section of floor mounted panel shall have
independent base frame (75mm x 40mm) size made out
of 5 mm sheet steel (LT Panel & DG Panel).
27 All the makes shall be as per Client approved make list
only.

28 Wherever only voltmeter & ammeter are required, the
same may be provided in combined meter suitable for
both parameter.
29 All relays shall be numeric relays.
30 Microprocessor based Protection Releases of Incomming
and Outgoing ACBs / MCCBs of Main LT Panel, SDB-
1(380V) & SDB-2(380V) shall be Communication
Compatible, so that it may communicate with the SCADA
system, in future, by adding communication module into
it.
5.1 Main LT PANEL (Section - 1 & 2 ) (Outdoor Type)
Main LT PANEL (Section - 1 & 2) shall Comprise of the
following:
a) Incomings:
One (1) Nos. 400 Amps, 415 V, 25kA, four pole,
Electrically operated MCCB, with ON/OFF/TRIP
indication lamp with O/C, S/C & E/F protection etc.
complete as required for D.G Set-01 Feeder with suitable
rationg of CT`s for multi function meters etc.
One (1) Nos. 200 Amps, 415 V, 25kA, four pole,
Electrically operated MCCB, with ON/OFF/TRIP
indication lamp with O/C, S/C & E/F protection etc.
complete as required for D.G Set-02 Feeder with suitable
rationg of CT`s for multi function meters etc.
One (1) Nos. 630 Amps, 415 V, 25kA, four pole,
Electrically operated MCCB, with ON/OFF/TRIP
indication lamp with O/L, O/C, S/C & E/F protection etc.
complete with U/V & O/V relay protection as required for
TRANSFORMER Feeder. Along with APFCR and
suitable rationg of CT`s for multi function meters etc.

One (1) nos. 630 Amps, 415 V, 35KA, 4P, MCCB EDO
Bus coupler breaker complete with under voltage and
shunt trip release, anti pumping protection, ON/OFF/
indication etc. to be interlocked with the incommers to
allow closing of breakers in such a way that either
transformer or DG Sets supply can be fed to the buses in
all operating condition and necessary interlocking can be
achieved as per approved SLD. .

Notes :
1 Sufficient No. of contacts terminals shall be provided in
the panel as required for necessary remote operation and
indications etc.
2 Operation interlocks as per specification & drawings
indicating sufficient nos. of potential free contacts for
interlocking/indication annunciation/control etc shall be
provided by the bidder as required.
d) Metering & Indication for DG supply breakers :

suitable for measurement of voltage, current, power
factor, frequency,hour run, Power (kW,kVA, kVAR),
Energy (kWH, KVAH, KVARH) and Harmonics (Conzerv
EM 6400 or equivalent).
ii) One (1) set 3 Nos. CTs of ratio 315/5A & 630/5A,15VA,
Class 1.0 as required.
iii) Three (3) nos. phase indicating lamps with backup SP
MCB. .
Note: Above BOQ is for the purpose of scope indentification.
However, all items required for sucessful operation,
protection inter locks as per operation shceme thru
potential free contacts shall be provided in sufficient Nos.
as required.

e) BUS BARS:
Two (2) Sets of 630Amp., 35kA, 4P, Aluminium Bus bar
with colour coded, heat shrinkable sleeves. (with 100%
neutral). Separate earth Bus of 50 x 8 mm Aluminium
shall be provided.
f) Outgoing:
Each outgoing feeder shall be provided with ON/OFF/Trip
indication lamps, and multifunction Meter with RS-485
port, suitable for measurement of voltages, currents, PF,
Power (kVA,kW, kVAR), Energy (kWH, KVAH, kVARH)
and Harmonics (Conzerv EM 6400 or equivalent), with
one set of suitable ratio, 15VA, class 1.0 CTs. The
Number of outgoing feeders shall be as follows:-

i) Seventeen (17) Nos. 63A, TPN MCB.

ii) Five (05) Nos. 40A, TPN MCB.
iii) Eight (08) Nos. 25A, SPN MCB.

Main LT PANEL (Section - 1 & 2), described as above

Note:
1 The Main LT PANEL has to operate in isolation as well
as coupled mode.

2 The protection/interlock shall be such that buses can be

fed individually by Transformers or DG in all possible
operating conditions. Paralleling of DG with grid is not
permitted.

5.2 Capacitor Panels (50kVAR) (To be integrated with

Main LT PANEL)
a) Incoming :
One (1) No. 100A, TP, MCCB, incomer with 8 step APFC
relay with Auto/Manual selector switch, timer, aux.
Contactor, louvers, Exhaust fan etc.

of voltage and currents with selector push buttons and
one set of CTs of ratio 100A /5A, CL 1.0, 15 VA.
- One (1) set of RYB phase indication lamps with control
SP MCB.

c) Busbar :
- 100A, TP Al. Busbar insulated with heat shrinkable
sleeves and shall be color coded.

- Separate earth bar of 50 x 8 mm of Aluminium shall be

provided.
d) Outgoings :
- 50 KVAR Capacitor Panel in steps of 8 nos. of 1 x 5
kVAR banks. Set 1

Notes:
1 Each capacitor bank should have its individual
MCCB/MCB & Contactor suitable for capacitor duty
including fuses for each capacitor unit as per
specifications and approved SLD.
2 Enclosure of capacitor panel shall be liberally designed to
take care of internal heat emission by capacitor unit
without forced cooling and to limit the temperature rise
with in permissible limit. However, louvers are allowed to
facilitate extra cooling.

3 Enclosure shall be so designed as to keep the space for

Detuned reactors for future if required.

4 Capacitors shall be of Heavy duty grade MPP type.
