How to upload a YouTube video

This document is meant to show you how to upload a YouTube video.

Disclaimer: You need a Google account to upload YouTube videos.

Uploading the Video

[1.] Type “www.youtube.com” into the search bar on your screen or press click this
hyperlink YouTube.

[2.] Press this button icon shown in the image below on the top of your screen, a
drop-down menu should appear.
● Press upload video from the drop-down menu.

1.[3.] Press “select files”, or you can drag and drop your video directly onto the
screen.
● You can upload any video file on your Computercomputer.
Describing the Video

1. Insert a title and description of your video.

[2.] Create Selecting a thumbnail for your video.

● YouTube will give auto-thumbnails that are taken from snapshots in the
video being uploaded.

2.[3.] Add an audience rating.

 This rating shows decides if your content is shown to kids or not.

Optional
● Add Age restrictions if you feel that your video is only meant for people 18+.
● You can have sSubtitles to make your video more accessible to people who have
difficulty hearing.
● You can add an eEnd screen to promote related content that shows up at the
end of your video.
● You can add cCards that allow you to promote content during the video.
Publishing the Video

1. Select one of the options available under the visibility tab.

 You can also schedule the video to be uploaded later if you need to.

2. Press save and the video will be published.
