Dear Maggie,

We’re having a great holiday here in Brighton, in the south of England. It is a wonderful
place. Paul and I arrived here last Friday. We are at the Shady Pines Hotel. We can see the
sea from our hotel room.
Last Sunday, we danced at the hotel disco and we made some new friends. The music
was great.
We are very busy here. In the mornings, we go on different excursions with the guide.
Yesterday morning, the weather was fine. We saw lots of interesting animals and plants in a
national park. Then we had lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, we walked in the town and
bought some clothes in the shopping centre. We liked the shops but some were expensive,
so I didn’t buy many things.
It rained yesterday evening, so we didn’t go out, we played cards, watched TV and
listened to some music in the hotel. We are really enjoying this holiday. We are coming
back here next year.
How are you in the USA? Write soon.
Love,
Ann
