a. Thiruvananthapuram corporation took a decision to give permission for converting
a public park into a place for construction of a hospital. Mr. Naveen, a law
college student approached the High Court for cancellation of the permission for
constructing hospital. Will he succeed ? Decide.
. ABC and Co. manufacturers of dyes letits untreated effluents in the nearby
stream. The residents of the area objected to this and issued a notice to the
State Pollution Control Board, After one rrionth, they filed a complaint before the
court praying the closure of the industry. Decide.

The tribal people of Assam were supplied bamboo at concessional rates by the *
Govt. of Assam to enable them to eke outa living. The tribal people made different
articles from the bamboo supplied and sold it in the open market. The forest
officials of the state blocked the movement of the articles on the ground that
there articles are forest produce and they are subjected to levy of tax. Decide.

using loud speakers. The members of the residents association are annoyed by
the continuous noise. Advise them. 8
e. Mr. Arun, a marine biologist converted his agricultural land into shrimp culture
farm. Agricultural Federation objected it on the ground that shrimp culture would
damage the sub-soil and salination of ground water. Is the objection sustainable ?
