SUGAR LAND, Texas, Oct. 7, 2023 – As October begins, it’s not too early to start planning for
Halloween – don’t let the ghouls, zombies and vampires scare away the little ones though! Sugar Land
has plenty of events sure to please parents and children of all ages throughout the month.

Temperatures may not be cooling off yet, but Sugar Land still welcomes the autumnal season with
Halloween activities for the whole family. Mayor Joe Zimmerman is looking forward to seeing families
enjoy the Halloween festivities this month, “October is such an exciting time in Sugar Land! Our city has
so much to offer for families to safely celebrate Halloween this month.” The city of Sugar Land is proud
to promote family-friendly events that are safe and inclusive, while still honoring the spirit of Halloween.

● Halloween Town presented by Tachus Fiber Internet - Oct. 29, 12-5 p.m.

coffins? Find out these answers and more while exploring all the eerie corners of the museum as a
family.
● Dia De Los Muertos Celebration at Sugar Land Town Square - Oct. 21, 12-5 p.m.
There’s no better way to immerse the family into an educational and cultural experience by

Bring the family to the Kellar Williams parking lot for a safe and fun alternative to
trick-or-treating. Come decked out in costume for candy, games, food and drinks.

Subject: Halloween in Sugar Land: Family-Friendly Events to Celebrate this October

Hello Kristin,

With the Halloween season approaching, many families shy away from activities in their
communities due to the unsafe nature of the holiday, however Sugar Land, Texas has plenty of
family-friendly alternatives throughout the month of October.

I am hoping that you are interested in featuring the city of Sugar Land in Austin Travels
Magazine, highlighting family-friendly Halloween activities throughout the month of
October. I am sure that you are familiar with both the safety and variety in what Sugar Land
offers, as you reported on these factors in your September 2023 article, “The Perfect Long
Weekend in Sugar Land, Texas.”

As a talented writer who clearly has a passion for all things travel and Texas, you are just the
reporter that would excel in writing a feature on Sugar Land. Your publication, Austin Travels
Magazine, caught my eye due to the many family-oriented travel reports that are published. As
you experienced earlier in September, Sugar Land has the ability to captivate families through its
unique sense of community and perspective, making it a perfect city to report on in your
publication.

All the details of the news release are attached to this email. Please contact me if you are
interested in the feature and have any questions. I can be reached via cell, 832-362-4213, and

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing your response.
