Document Development Exposition: Instructions

Jazid Quinonez
Explain in detail your document’s development from planning to finish, describing your
challenges, how you overcame them, and what you learned.

Planning
Creating a plan proved essential for this assignment, and Professor Sindelar’s instruction planning
document significantly aided my instruction manual development, providing a valuable reference
throughout.

First Draft (for peer editing)

The first draft, intended for peer editing, lacked necessary clarifications on specific wording related
to system settings/preferences. This prompted me to address and assess these issues, ensuring a
seamless understanding for the reader.

Second Draft (for your packet)

In the second draft, I incorporated red arrows, symbols, and circles to effectively guide and maintain
the reader’s focus and crucial elements.

Final Draft (for your portfolio)

For the final draft in my portfolio, I leveraged insights from both drafts to rectify errors. Using a
combination of red symbols, arrows, and circles, I directed the reader’s focus while employing clear
language to address the potential confusion between System settings and system preferences during
the MacBook update process.
