3-INTRODUCTION.

In Leadership, What Every Leader Needs to Know, there is a compilation of what you need
to know from the basic concepts of leadership, it also contains the essential ideas acquired in
more than thirty years of experience as a leader.

To be successful in life, a person needs to have skills in four areas: Relationships, Training,
Attitude and Leadership.
Through the book the author defines the concept of leadership and identifies a few traits that
every leader must develop and shows the impact that leadership can have on his life and on
the lives of those under his direction. According to Maxwell, the book is designed for personal
and administrative success, whether the reader aspires to form a business, strengthen his
children or conquer the world, the first step to achieve this is to raise his level of leadership.

The first part of the book covers the first two chapters:

1- Why should I grow as a leader?

2- How can I grow as a leader?

According to Maxwell, the higher the leadership, the greater the effectiveness. In turn, the
author presents the Law of the Ceiling. This says that leadership capacity is the ceiling that
determines the level of effectiveness of a person, the lower the capacity of a person. To lead,
the lower the limit on your potential will be and the higher the leadership, the greater the
effectiveness. To be successful in life, a person needs to have skills in four areas:
Relationships, Training, Attitude and Leadership.

4-DEVELOPMENT.

4.1-Success without Leadership.

Success is within reach of almost everything. Personal success without leadership ability
achieves only a limited effect.

The higher you want to go, the more leadership you need. The greater the impact you want
to achieve, the greater your influence should be. Everything you achieve will be limited by
your ability to lead others.

The author presents us in his book a picture of what he wants to say.

Option 1.
The author says that when it comes to success, you are an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. You could
say that the McDonald brothers were at that level.

But the author also tells us that, if our leadership capacity is only 1, our level of capacity
would look small.

To increase our level of effectiveness, we have 2 options. You could work very very hard to
increase your dedication to success and excellence, it is an effort to reach 10. It is possible
that we can reach that level, although the law of diminishing returns indicates that success
will increase only to a certain point, after the which stops increasing proportionally to the
amount of work you dedicate to it. In other words, the effort it would take to increase those
last two points could consume more energy than it took to achieve the first 8. If you really
work yourself to the point of exhaustion, you could increase your success by that 25 percent.

Option 2.
But you have another option. Let's say you work hard to increase the level of leadership.
Over time, one develops as a leader and the leadership capacity reaches, let's say, a 6.

By increasing leadership ability, without increasing your dedication to success, you can
increase effectiveness by 500 percent. If you were to raise the capacity to 8, with the same
dedication to success, you would increase effectiveness by 700 percent.

Leadership has a multiplier effect. The author has seen an impact repeatedly in all kinds of
businesses and non-profit institutions. And that is why he has taught leadership for over
twenty-five years.
4.2-How can I grow as a leader?
Becoming a leader is similar to investing successfully in the stock market. If we expect to
make a fortune in one day, we are not going to be successful. What matters is what is done
day by day along the way. According to what the writing says, his friend Tag Shop maintains
that the secret to success is found in planning the day. If you continually invest in leadership
development and allow assets to accumulate, the result is growth.

When the author teaches leadership at conferences, do people ask him if leaders are born?
And he always answers: Yes, of course, they are born... He has not found anyone who came
into the world in any other way. Everyone at the conferences laughs, and then the author
answers the truth about the question: Whether Leadership is something that a person
possesses or does not possess.

Although it is true that some people are born with more natural gifts than others, the
ability to lead is really a set of skills and almost everyone can learn and improve. But the
process does not happen overnight. Leadership is a complicated thing. It has many facets:
respect, experiences, emotional strength, skills, discipline, vision, drive, sense of
opportunity, the list goes on. Leaders need a lot of maturation to be effective.

4-3 The fight to make your way.

If you want to see how someone develops as a champion, look at their daily ruin. Former
heavyweight champion Joe Frazier expressed: You can draw up a fight plan or a life plan. But
when the action begins, you depend on your reflexes. That is where what he has done is
manifested. If you cheat when it is still dark in the morning, you will be discovered in the
glare of the light. Boxing is a good analogy for developing leadership, because it involves
daily preparation. Even if a person has natural talent, he has to prepare and train to become
successful.

Jhon Frazier.
The author chooses the boxer John Frazier as an example of what he wants

to tell us.

5- CONCLUSION.
The author highlights that success can be achieved to a certain extent with dedication and effort,

but to achieve greater impact and effectiveness, leadership plays a fundamental role. Leadership is

not something you are born with, but rather a set of skills that can be learned and improved over

time. Therefore, to grow as a leader, it is essential to invest in leadership development consistently

and cumulatively, similar to an investment in the stock market. This involves developing skills, gaining

experience, and maturing as a leader over time.
