Our degree program in tertiary college has a huge impact on our careers in the future.

Although
this is not the case to all, our choice of education aligns us with possible jobs in the future.
Honing skills at a young age in college equips us with skills and knowledge that are necessary
in our chosen careers. Such that, one degree holds a handful of job opportunities but usually
scopes in one umbrella career. Having a nursing degree for instance can branch out to a bunch
of job opportunities, such as being Psychiatric Nurse, Nursing staff, Private Nurse, Community
Nurse; however, they are all under medical fields. As evident, having a degree that equips us
with skills necessary and needed in our chosen or desired career.

However, this is not always the case. Other people may end up working in a completely different
field than what they have studied in their college. Others may end up successfully thriving,
however, guaranteeing employment may be a vague result. In the medical field, hospitals and
clients obviously will not hire someone who is knowledgeable and skillful enough to handle a
patient and possible disease or illness. Thus, having a degree holder credited someone that
they are already equipped with the skills and knowledge to diagnose someone accurately and
handle a patient with utmost care and with necessary care services. On the other hand,
identifying careers outside your degree might give you a glimpse of exploration aside from your
specialization. Likewise, you are a nursing degree holder, however, you are interested in
fashion careers. You may want to find a balance between both fields by applying at a fashion
company as a health worker, or a private nurse for models. Through this, you can utilize your
degree and still keep your interest at hand.
