Individualized Educational Plans
A LEGAL document
It's a tool to guide families, teachers & special
educators with the HOLISTIC needs of a special
child
It is NOT seen as a way to LABEL a child
It doesn't just focus on ACADEMIC record, goes
beyond that.
EVERY CHILD IS DIFFERENT, even if they live in the
same environment. They all have different strengths
& weaknesses.
An IEP first IDENTIFIES them, and then works towards
EMPOWERING the child

It's not enough to just work on the child at school or

in the session. The parents need to take active
responsibility for their child with special needs at
home
