conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of

lndia and in supersession of all the rules made in this behall

the Governor of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to

provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Tutor in the

basic medical subjects and medical subjects, Class ll, in the

Government Dental Colleges and attached hospitals in the

General State Service, under the Commissionerate of Health,

Medical Services and Medical Education and Research,

Gujarat State, namely:-

L. These rules may be called the Tutor in the basic

medical subjects and medical subjects, Class ll,

(Government Dental Colleges and attached Hospitals)

Recruitment Rules, 2015.

2. ln these rules, unless the context otherewise

requrre;
 (a) "Medical candidate" means a candidate possessing
the

degree of M.B.B.s obtained from any of the Universities

established in rndia by law and recognised by the

Medical

council of lndia and having registration under the state

or

central Law pertaining to and requiring Medicar Registration.

(i) "Equivalent qualification" means the qualification

as

recognised by the Dental council of lndia or Medical

Council of lndia, as the case may be.

3. Appointment to the post of the Tutor in the basic

medical subjects and medical subjects class ll as specified

in the Annexure I and Annexure ll annexed to these rules,

in the Government Dental colleges and attached

Hospitals in the General state service, under the

commissionerate of Health, Medical services and Medical

Education and Research, Gujarat state, shall be made by

direct selection.
4. To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to

the post mentioned in rute 3, a candidate shall, _

(a) not be more than 32 years of age:

Provided that the upper age rimit may be reraxed

in favour of a candidate who is already in the service of

the Government of Gujarat in accordance with the

provisions of the Gujarat civil services classification

and Recruitment (General) Rule, 1967.

(b) possess

(i) academ!c qua!ifications as specif!ed respectively

against each such posts mentioned in the Annexure I and

Annexure Il annexed to these rules obtained from any of

the Universities established or incorporated by or under

the central or state Act in lndia, or any other educational

institutions recognised as such or declared to be deemed

University under section 3. of the University Grants

commission Act, 1956; or possess an equivarent
qualification recognised by the Dental Council of lndia or

Medical Council of lndia, as the case may be.

(ii) the basic knowledge of computer application as

prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and

Recruitment (General) Rules, L957; and

(iii) adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

5. A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be

on probation for a period of two years.

6. A candidate appointed by direct selection shall, during

his probation period, require to pass the qualifying

examination for computer knowledge in accordance with

the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Computer

Competency Training and Examination Rules, 2005'

7. A candidate appointed by direct selection shall

require to pass an examination in Hindi or Gujarati or

both in accordance with the rules prescribed by the

Government.
 8. A candidate appointed by direct selection shall have

to undergo such training and pass such examination as

may be prescribed by the Government.

9. The candidate appointed by direct serection shall

require to get himself registered with a state Medical

council or lndian Medica! counci! under the lndian

Medical council Act, 1956 at the time of his/her

application for direct selection, if he is not so registered.

10. A candidate appointed by direct serection shall

require to furnish a security and surety bond in such
form, for such amount and for such period as may be

prescribed by the Government.

M.B.B.S. or any other equivalent qualification as prescribed by
Medical Council of lndia.
5 Microbiology. M.Sc. (Medical Microbiology) in the subject of Microbiology or
M.B.B.S. or any other equivalent qualification as prescribed by
Medical Council of tndia.
