MRS.PEARSON- I will try not to, Mrs. Fitzgerald. (SHE OPENS THE DOOR. CALLING) Hey! You all can
come in now. I thought we had a nice family game of rummy and then you children could get the
supper ready while I have a talk with your father.
NARRATOR -NOW MRS. FITZGERALD LEFT THE HOUSE AND THE CHILDREN BEGAN PREPARING THE
SUPPER IN KITCHEN. MRS. PEARSON APPROACHED GEORGE, LOOKING WORRIED. AND SAW HOW HE

NARRATOR-AT THAT VERY MOMENT DORIS AND CYRIL ENTER THEIR ROOM WITH EVENING SNACKS AND
ALL. NOW THEY ALSO GET CURIOUS TO KNOW THE SECRET WITH A SIP OF TEA. NOW MRS. PEARSON
THOUGHT THAT IT’S THE TIME TO TELL THAT SECRET. SHE CAN NO MORE SEE THREE OF THEM
FRIGHTENED OF HER. AS SHE WAS INNOCENT AND NEVER HID ANYTHING WITH HER FAMILY. SO SHE

MRS. PEARSON- I Know you all will be surprised to hear the secret behind this. So it began one day
when I and Mrs. Fitzgerald were gossiping a bit about my fortune. So she understood my pain of
working all day. With no respect for me and no freedom to go outside. So she decided to teach you all a
lesson so

DORIS- But how would she solve your problem? She is just our neighbour.
MRS. PEARSON- Actually she is quite an experienced magician and clever woman who knows some
esoteric magic and powers that she learned in the East.
CYRIL- So she did any magic with our family or had done any abra ka dabra with her stick?
MRS. PEARSON-No! Nothing like that but she had done a personality exchange magic. We changed our
souls. And Mrs. Fitzgerald entered in my body and I entered in her body. That’s how she decided to teach
you all a lesson.
NARRATOR- TILL NOW MRS. PEARSON HAD GIVEN AWAY ALL THE SECRETS ABOUT THE STORY AND NOW
SHE FELT GUILTY AND EMBARRASSED ABOUT HOW SHE HAD NOT FOLLOWED MRS. FITZGERALD’S LAST
WORDS OF THAT SHE TOLD NOT GO SOFT WITH YOUR FAMILY AGAIN ELSE IT WILL BE ALL WASTED.
MRS. PEARSON- (IN HER MIND APOLOGETICALLY) Oh my god! I have told the entire secret. Now I am
afraid that after knowing the secret, my husband and children will treat me the same way as before. I
have ruined the situation and now they will have no fear of me. They will also approach Mrs. Fitzgerald

back to our bodies.
DORIS-Oh Mom! Now we understand your importance. You were struggling for years and years serving
us, without any hesitation.
GEORGE- Doris I think your Mother was absolutely right. I always disrespected her. And we have made
her work for us like a servant for 24*7.
CYRIL- Yes Dad! You know she's the first one to wake up in the morning and the last one to go to bed.
Always gives us food, clothes, and necessities on time. Nor do we respect her or help her in households.
She does all the work even if she's unwilled but never complains about it. I'm really feeling bad.
DORIS- Yes! Me too. She always serves us 24*7 and look the way we treat her. We all are very ashamed
and we have committed a great sin.
GEORGE- Maybe this is the reason she changed so much. We will never ever disrespect her. We all
should respect her for the things she does for us. I understand who our true valuation is.
DORIS- Oh God! Please forgive us for the sin we have been doing for so many years. We say that God
created Mankind but our Mother created us. A Mother not only gives us life but does our upbringing and
also protects us.
CYRIL- Our Mother is very much emotionally attached to us. And a child is only the flesh and blood of
her. She undergoes immense pain while delivering a child. Yet, she can never see her child in pain or any
problem.
GEORGE- Oh Annie! I and my children from today take a pledge that we will never disrespect you and
always show sympathy towards you from now on. We will be like a happy family.
MRS. PEARSON- (WITH TEARS IN EYES) Oh! There is no need to apologise. It happens sometimes. You
have understood a Woman's place in this world. That's enough. But I can be strict at some moments!
(LAUGHING)
GEORGE- OK! As you wish.
DORIS-So today is a true Mother’s day for you mum. Enjoy your day!
CYRIL- We should also not forget the favour that Mrs. Fitzgerald had done to improve us. She had
perfectly played the drama and scolded us. We will be always obliged to her.
DORIS- We should gift her something. Call her for coffee.
MRS. PEARSON- Ya! That's a good idea we should thank her.
MRS. PEARSON- Now let's have a nice game of rummy. I haven't played for many
years. GEORGE- Oh! Why not! Why not! Of Course
