FINAL JUDGMENT

The plaintiff, A.R., sued Brazos County, Texas for civil rights violations. (Docket Entry

No. 1). Under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 68, the County made an offer of judgment in writing

on November 15, 2023, to allow A.R. to take judgment against the County in the amount of

$500,000.00. The amount offered included all costs and attorneys’ fees accrued to the date of the

offer. A.R. accepted the offer of judgment in writing on November 17, 2023, and on the same date

filed the offer, notice of acceptance, and proof of service. (Docket Entry No. 44).

A.R. will recover from the County a total of $500,000.00, which includes all recoverable

costs and attorneys’ fees accrued to the date of the offer. A.R. may also recover post-judgment

interest on the $500,000.00, in accordance with 28 U.S.C. § 1961, at the published rate of 5.16%

per annum. The County will pay post-judgment interest calculated from the date this judgment is

signed until the date this judgment is paid.

This is a final judgment.
