How I understood the phrase “Globalization is the Americanization and McDonaldization of the world?

” is that the
world is being influenced by the American culture and the growing popularity of McDonald’s food to the world
which then leads people to overly glorify the culture of the Americans and their likings to the food of McDonald’s.
People around the world will be most likely to follow some cultural and social norms from the U.S. e.g. clothing,
slang languages, preferences for entertainment,

etc.
