The purpose of this bulletin is to align the knowledge and to disseminate


information regarding the nearing phase-out of 1080399 and will be
replaced by 1250105. This bulletin will serve as a guide on how to do
replacement from old CO2 IR Sensor to new CO2 IR Sensor.

I. Replacement of CO2 Sensor from 1080399 to 1250105

IV. Replacement procedure


A. Preparation of Materials and Tools needed for the replacement

1. Inside the Retrofit kit


a. 1250105 Probe and Cable b. Cable Tie

c. Terminal Block

2. Equipment or tools needed


a. Philips Screw driver or Power Tool b. Wire Cutter

or

c. Flat precision screwdriver d. Gas Analyser

e. Silicon Sealant

B. Replacing the sensor

1. Open the outer-door wide 2. Open the inner-door wide

3. Take out the shelves

4. Remove the IR Sensor from clipping

Remove the IR sensor from


the holder and avoid touching
the filter part area

Avoid touching this area

5. Remove the IR CO2 Probe

Turn to the right


Pull downward
once loose
Hold this Part

6. Remove the IR CO2 Probe

Loosen and remove the mounting by


turning it to the left

7. Remove the Top cover to access mainboard

8. Remove the wires from the CO2 Board

Remove these wires

9. Cut the cable tie

10. Pull off the CO2 cable from the insulation. Please support the points of the fiberglass so it will not
tear apart when pulling off the cable from the fiberglass.

11. Once separated from the fiberglass, we can start pulling the cable down to the chamber

Start pulling gently down the cable


until the end of the cable to fully
remove the cable from the unit.

12. Prepare the new CO2 sensor Cable


Prepare the new CO2 sensor
cable and wrap the wires into
one group so we can easily
insert the cable from the
chamber through the top of
incubator

13. Insert the cable through the cable gland

14. Insert the cable through the chamber’s hole until it reaches the out to the top of the chamber.

15. Pull the cable until the connector of the cable is able to reach the sensors clip.

Do not clip the sensor yet. Just


assure that the sensor can reach
the holder

16. Mount the cable glands

17. Harness the wires back

18. Cut and tidy up the harnessing of wires

19. CO2 Sensor Cable Connections

Use 3 wires only:

1. Blue = Ground

2. White = Signal

3. Brown = Positive Supply (+12)

20. Disconnect wire 66, wire 68 and wire 67 from the CO2 control board

Use 3 wires only:

1. Wire 68 (Black)

2. Wire 67 (Red)

3. Wire 66 (Blue)

21. Connect the wires to the terminal block as shown in the picture

1. White = Signal 1. Wire 66 (Blue)

2. Blue = Ground 2. Wire 68 (Black

3. Brown = Positive 3. Wire 67 (Red)

22. Install the terminations on the panel 23. Remove the CO2 Sensor clip or holder

24. Put the 2 spacers nut at the top as show in the picture

25. Mount the Sensor Holder at the ceiling of chamber 26. Mount the sensor at the holder

27. Return the shelves back to the Chamber

26. Put silicone around to seal the hole for the CO2 sensor cable

27. Close the CO2 incubator inner door 28. Put Gas analyzer tube at the access port

29. Test and validate CO2 reading using Gas analyzer
