WELCOME TO MY WORLD!

My name is Jenifer Mota, and I'm the person, hands, soul and
heart behind LovLoops. I tell stories through photography and give
style to crocheted or knitted toys using delicate and extravagant
embroideries.

I'm a daughter and granddaughter of artisans, pharmaceutical

specialist in quality management with a PhD in Bioprocess
Engineering and Biotechnology, photographer passionate about
handicrafts since ever. Although involved in crochet and embroidery
since I was 9 years old, it was in 2017 that my journey with
photography and amigurumis has begun.

In 2019 I created LovLoops® and found there a way to express myself,

inspire and share a piece of my world with thousands of people. Since
then, I have worked in partnership with some of the most influential
designers in Brazil and also abroad.

In 2022, I launched the first specific Free Embroidery course on

Crochet, the TransBORDAR. Now I share all my knowledge, acquired
over a lifetime, with hundreds of students, spread all over the world,
and eager for some beautiful embroideries. In 2023, I'm launching the
LovShoots Photographic Mentorship, aimed at artisans who want to
improve their photographic skills, learning to make more intentional
choices when shooting.

For me, embroidery and photography are like blank pages. There is
a world of possibilities in there. With a dash of soul, some doses of
technique and a lot of authenticity, it’s possible to give life to any toy!

AMANITA
Amanita is a girl that has a superpower: she can grow
mushrooms anywhere, and this is the reason why she is
known as THE MUSHROOM GIRL.

However, Amanita hasn’t always celebrated this superpower.

When she was a child, she could only think that among
so many cool superpowers, she had the gift of making
mushrooms grow.

“— Who wants such a superpower, it’s useless!” – Amanita

said to her mother, almost every day.

Amanita wanted to run fast like a leopard, be able to go

back in time like a clock, fly high like an eagle, dive for as
long as she wanted like a fish... she wanted everything but
growing mushrooms anywhere!

One day, Amanita was with her friends, returning from

school when the sky became dark and suddenly a
downpour started. Everyone immediately whined, as none
of them were prepared for that unexpected rain. Amanita
then made use of her superpower and grew a mushroom for
each friend. As mushrooms made perfect umbrellas, they
could cover themselves from the rain. Amanita saved that
day!!

After that, Amanita began to help not only her friends,

but also strangers. In the beginning the mushrooms
became stools or ladders, but over time they became
super audacious projects. Amanita began to grow giant
mushrooms, which became bridges, houses, and even
entire buildings.

Today Amanita wouldn't change her superpower for

anything in this world. She is happy just being THE
MUSHROOM GIRL!

We all have superpowers, we just need to figure out what to

do with them, just like Amanita!

Hope you have fun crocheting the Amanita!

With love, Jeni

🖤

General Guidelines
• Although the list of materials indicates brands and yarn colors, feel free to vary the yarn type
and colors too! If case of yarn weight changes, remember it may be necessary to adapt the
crochet hook size and the eyes size.

• Work all the rounds in a continuous spiral, except when specified to work in row (crochetwork
must be turned at the end of each round). If desired, use a stitch marker to mark the start of
each round/row.

• Chains are not counted to the total stitch count of the round/row.

• This pattern was executed using X single crochet. The natural slope of spiral crochet when
using the X single crochet is slightly different from the one resulting from the V single crochet.
Amanita's legs are irregularly shaped, that is, the view when looking from one side is different
from the other side, front or back. Also, the left leg mirrors the right leg. The positioning of the
inc and dec along the rounds is what guarantees the shape and the correct positioning of the
knees and feet when crocheting the body. As the legs are woven in a spiral, if you are weaving
with V single crochet, or depending on the tension applied to the stitches, a slight adjustment
to the stitch counts along the rounds may be necessary. Adjustments may also be necessary
when crocheting body or arms.

• When decreases are crocheted in BLO, made the traditional decrease instead of the invisible
one common in amigurumis. Decreasing in this way is easier and makes the crochet more
uniform.

• If you have any questions, email me at lovloops@lovloops.com. It will be a pleasure to help you!

Enjoy the moment and good crochet!!
