distance of 1 meter from each other. There is a triangular grassy
lawn in the plot as shown in the figure. The students are to sow
seeds of flowering plants on the remaining area of the plot.

Based on the above information, Answer the following:

What will be the coordinates of Q, if C is the origin?

Case Study 2:
37. Shilpi, a newly appointed IAS officer wants to give a thanks giving party to all her mentors, teachers and
guide who motivated and taught her to achieve this aim. She decided to give gifts to all of them. She has 36
diaries, 60 golden pens. She does not want to discriminate among teachers, mentors and guide so she decided
to distribute them equally among all of them.
Based on the above information answer the following questions:
i. How many maximum guests Shilpi can invite?
ii. How many diaries and golden pens each guest get?
iii. Shilpi decided to add 42 watches also. In this case how many maximum guests Shilpi can invite?
OR

II PRE- BOARD EXAM/CLASS X/MATHS[STANDARD]/2022-23/PAGE-4

How many items of each category will each guest get, if 42 watches are also included?

Case Study 3:
38. Junk foods are processed foods consisting of high calories.
These foods are prepared in a way that they look
appealing and are enjoyable so you are chemically
programmed to ask for more. Frequent consumption of
junk food increases the intake of excess fat, sugar which
may lead to higher risk of obesity and cardiovascular
diseases among other chronic health problems. In a
school, a survey of some students was conducted about
their eating habits. It was observed that q number of
students take healthy food and p number of students take
junk food such that p > q and p and q are zeros of the
quadratic polynomial p(x) = x2 - 26x + 120.

Based on the above, answer the following questions:

i. Name the type of polynomial in the above statement.
ii. How many students took junk food?
OR
How many students took healthy food?
iii. Can p and q be the zeroes of the polynomial p(x) = 2x2 + 8x + 6?
