SUBJECT : Order to Cease and Desist in the Implementation of MARINA

Circulars

Pursuant to the Memorandum of Honorable Leandro R. Mendoza, Secretary,

Department of Transportation and Communications(DOTC) dated February 26, 2010,
this Authority hereby ceases, desists and defers the implementation of the
Memorandum Circulars pertaining to the following, effective March 1, 2010 to wit:
a) Protection and Indemnity Policy
b) Lifejackets
c) Accreditation of Single Class Society
d) Revised Schedule on Fines and Penalties
e) Suspension of CPCs
f) Compensation for Survivors of Sea Accidents
g) Vessel Safety Certificates
h) Annual Tonnage Fees for Domestic Fishing Vessels

The above stated Circulars after an exhaustive consultation with the stakeholders shall
be the subject of review, modification and amendment by the Technical Working
Group composed of stakeholders and DOTC Management and its attached maritime
agencies.
