6-YEAR OLD CHILD FOUND RAPED AND KILLED BY MAN IN MDANTSANE

The six year old Sikholiwe Mahleka who went missing on Wednesday in Mdantsane was found raped and
killed in a man named as Thobho's house.

According to the founding director of the NPC Mdantsane United against Crime and GBV Yolanda Dyani
(30) the grandfather of the child Mr Mahleka started looking for the child after she went missing using a
speaker to relay the message.

Dyani explains that Mdantsane FM assisted with spreading the news in order to reach many people to
receive help in the search for Sikholiwe Mahleka.

Dyani told NTU NEWS “Then as the NPC we started communicating with some stakeholders and trying to
organize a search party for the following day”

She said “While we were doing that, the NU 13 community members were already gathered after the
grand father went around the area with the loud speaker to announce about this incident.”

They searched all the suspicious houses around, with no luck. One of them suggested that they go to this
specific house as there is only a guy that stays in the house.

The suspect known as Thobho usually stands by the spaza shop and ask for money, but that day, he did
not go.

No one had seen him, allegedly the suspect stays alone and apparently does not even have a girlfriend.

They tried to visit the suspects house but they got no answer.

After that they decided to go back and break the door, the grand father went to get the police so that
they witness the breaking.

When they got there, the community had already entered the house, with the suspect naked, the body
of the child wrapped in a black plastic bag under the bed.

The community immediately started beating the suspect after he had told them that it was not his
intention to hurt the child.

The suspect had been beaten to death by the community for the horrible crime he had done.
