SCRIPT FOR STORY OF MY LIFE

NARRATOR:

Life isn’t easy yet; we are here today stronger than before. I myself encountered a lot of
circumstances. But I need to be stronger to overcome those. I was a drug addict when I was a
young boy; that’s the only thing that makes me happy. Until one day, there is an event that really
changes my life.

SCENE 1: MY SISTER KILLED
Narrator
Erwin is in school to give a talk to all the students for their career orientation.

Erwin: Life isn’t easy yet; we are here today stronger than before. I myself I encountered a lot of
circumstances. But I need to be stronger to overcome those. I am a drug addict when I was a
young boy, that’s the only thing that makes me happy. Until one day, there is an event that really
change my life.

1st VOICEOVER:

Erwin One day, while walking home, I heard the sound of a police mobile. I’m so scared,
knowing that I am possibly their target. I ran too fast until I heard a gunshot that made my heart
beat too fast.

All the people around me were so curious about what happened until I saw the lady who lay in
the street with people around who were trying to identify her.

GOSSIPING COMES CLOSER TO THE INCIDENT. –

SHOUTING THE NAME OF HER SISTER
ALYJA: Anyone please helps! Help! Wake up! Sandra, wake up! (SUMIGAW)

The policemen came to cover the crime scene and know what happened.

2nd Voiceover
Erwin: I passed by on my way to the incident area, and I found out that my sister is the one who
was hit by the policeman, and they mentioned that my sister is a drug addict, which made me
worried. I never expected that she was also the same person I am.
AFTER A WEEK
SCENE 2 – Admit that I am an addict (3rd CURTAIN CLOSED)

3RD VOICEOVER

Erwin (Voiceover): When my sister gets buried, I am still trembling and have fear that my life is
in danger as my sister died of drug addiction.

I went to my friend’s house to admit it and tell them the true story of who I am

Jennifer: Hey Erwin, how are you, are you okay?

Erwin: Yes, I’m good. Thank you!

(Friends are chatting to each other)- Erwin is continuously walking around back and
forth, until Berlyn noticed him)
Berlyn: Erwin, what happened is there something wrong, it seems like you’re having a
problem? Erwin, Erwin, hey! Can you hear me?
Erwin: A-ah yes, yes, I'm good, sorry; it’s just that there is something just bothering my mind.
Roshan: What’s that tell us, we are your friends. Is this all about on what happened to your
sister?
Erwin: No! My sister is not a drug addict! She shouldn’t be killed by the policeman! She
shouldn’t (shouting and crying) I am supposedly in her place now; she doesn’t deserve it.
Jennifer: Huh? Wait we can’t understand you. What do you mean?
Berlyn: Yes Erwin, can you explain it to us?
** ONE DAY MUSIC**
Erwin: Yes, I am a drug addict. I used and pushed drugs, because of our life situation. But I
don’t want to be killed like what happened to my sister. I don’t, so please help me. Don’t bring
me to the precinct, please don’t report me.
Roshan: Yes, don’t worry stop Erwin, we are your friends and we are willing to help you.
Berlyn: We will bring you in Home of Hope a rehabilitation who help addicted people to change
their lives.
Jennifer: Exactly Berlyn that’s a great idea. We can bring you there to change your positions in
life and to avoid using drugs, you should help yourself to be better.

SCENE 3 – Admit to Rehabilitation Center
IN HOME OF HOPE
Jennifer: (Knock the door) Good Afternoon Ma’am Celina (Cherry) we have here our friend to
change his life and distance himself using drugs.
Cherry: Oh hi. Good afternoon and what is his name?
Berlyn: He is Erwin, Ma’am Celina.
Celina: Okay, thank you! Hi Erwin nice meeting you we assure you that your life will be changed
here after 6 months.
Erwin: 6 months? Seriously? It’s too long.
Roshan: Erwin, there is a process that we should follow to help you. You have your options: in
jail for a lifetime or here for 6 months?
Erwin: Okay okay! Thank you.
Jennifer: Anyway Erwin, take care, okay? Just follow them for yourself growth. Thank you,
Ma’am Celina.
Celina: So, Erwin, how are you? What happened? Can you tell me more something about your
case?

NARRATOR: **AFTER 6 MONTHS**
Celina: Sarrah, can you please call Erwin in his room? We need to talk.
Sarrah: Yes Madam, will call him now.
Sarrah: Erwin, Erwin, Madam Celina wants to talk to you.

Erwin: Ma’am Celina, is there something wrong?

in.
Erwin: Wow! Really (crying) thank you so much Madam Celina.
Celina: No worries, Erwin, so please apply what you have learned here. Pack up your things
now. I will let Sarrah call your friends.
Celina: Sarrah, please call his friends to pick him up and sign for discharge papers.
Sarrah: Yes Madam. ** Hello Jennifer!
Jennifer: Yes, Ma’am Sarrah, how was our friend is he okay?

Erwin: Thank you so much Ma’am Celina and Mrs. Sarrah.
Celina: Most welcome Erwin I hope that one day I will see you successful.

Erwin (Voiceover): After my rehabilitation, I know that everything has changed. I was never
attracted to drugs anymore and decided to go back to school and finish my degree.
NARRATOR: AFTER 4 YEARS HE FINISHED HIS DEGREE. (Graduation Day)
Erwin: Guys, thank you. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me; without you, I think my
life would remain messy and complicated.
Berlyn: No problem with that Erwin. That what friends are for.
MUSIC: THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR
10 YEARS AFTER (6th CURTAIN CLOSED)

That’s how my life goes on and on. If we can look for a brighter future, then let’s find it with all
our hearts and souls. People may do bad things, but there’s always a way to make it correct and
