Overcoming Challenges: A Journey to Graduation - A Namibian's Experience at Tshwane University of

Technology

Enrolling at Tshwane University of Technology's main campus in Pretoria marked the beginning of an
arduous yet rewarding journey for one determined Namibian student pursuing a National Diploma in
Electrical Engineering: Clinical Engineering. The four-year academic pursuit was not just about gaining
knowledge in the field but navigating a series of formidable obstacles that tested resilience, adaptability,

The journey commenced in the first semester of 2017, marked by a rigorous syllabus that presented an

Finally, on the 1st of February 2023, the journey culminated in the completion of the course, marking a
significant milestone in the pursuit of academic excellence. The graduation on the 10th of May 2023 was
not just a ceremonial moment; it was a testament to the perseverance, hard work, and dedication
poured into the pursuit of knowledge and skills.

Studying in South Africa provided more than just academic insights; it offered a deep dive into the
country's academic culture and systemic educational skills. As a Namibian immersed in this environment,
it was an honor to learn, adapt, and grow within a different educational framework.

Becoming an official Tshwane University of Technology Alumni on the 10th of May 2023 was a moment
