Overview
Now that you have completed your training shifts, and memorized the menu you
are ready to serve tables and satisfy customers on your own. Serving a table at
TacoLu requires great attention to detail, teamwork, patience, and professionalism.
Greeting the table is the first step, and one of the most important steps.
Before you get started...
Ensure your Toast Tablet is turned on and logged into.
Review what tables you will be responsible for.
Verify that all stations (chip, salsa, queso, server) are stocked.
Check if there are any specials or out of stock items.
Greeting the Table
i. Check to see how many guests are at the table once seated.
I. Once you have been seated with a table, check to see how many guests are
there.
II. Bring the appropriate amount of chips and salsa to the table.
o 1-4 guests: one bowl of chips and one bowl of salsa.
o 5-8 guests: two bowls of chips and two bowls of salsa.
o 9-12 guests: three bowls of chips and three bowls of salsa.
III. Retrieve the appropriate amount of chips and salsa for your table from the
chip, salsa, queso station.
IV. Bring the chips and salsa to the table within 0-2 minutes of the guests being
seated.
V. Introduce yourself before setting the chips and salsa down on the table.
Tip:
When introducing yourself to the
table, say, “Hi, my name is (your
name). I will be taking care of you
all today.”
Ensure a positive attitude and
smile.
