Course Description:
Provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the core concepts, principles, and skills necessary for
advanced practice and clinical leadership roles within the healthcare field. Through theoretical foundations,
case studies, and practical applications, students will explore the challenges, opportunities, and ethical
considerations involved in advanced practice and clinical leadership.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
1. Describe the roles and responsibilities of advanced practice professionals in various healthcare settings.
2. Analyze the impact of healthcare policies and regulations on advanced practice.
3. Apply principles of evidence-based practice to clinical decision-making.
4. Demonstrate leadership skills in the context of interprofessional collaboration.
5. Evaluate healthcare delivery models and their implications for advanced practice.
6. Discuss ethical issues and dilemmas in advanced practice healthcare.
7. Identify strategies for promoting patient safety and quality improvement.
