The Zimbabwe Annual Film and Television Awards (ZAFTA) is pleased to announce that the
final list of nominees for its inaugural awards ceremony has been confirmed. The
competition was intense, with a higher number of submissions than anticipated,
demonstrating the immense talent and creativity within the Zimbabwean film and television
industry.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the judges who dedicated their time and expertise to
carefully review and rate the submissions. Their invaluable contributions have played a
pivotal role in ensuring the fairness and transparency of the selection process.
In our pursuit of inclusivity, we utilised the FilmFreeway online platform along with in-
person delivery options for submissions, removing as many barriers as possible to
encourage participation from all corners of the industry.
The inaugural ZAFTAs ceremony will take place on the 2nd of December 2023 at the
Wisdom City Church auditorium on 55 Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in Harare. Tickets are
