A Message from the Director

In 2011 we packed you in like sardines to experience the intensity of 12 Angry Jurors.
In 2012 we took you to the English countryside in Sherlock Holmes

classic The Hound

of the Baskervilles. In 2013 we explored comedy with a comic spoof of Agatha Christies
And Then There Was One. Last year we

presented Shady Acres a slapstick comedy

in the style of Fawlty Towers. Now, in the final chapter of the ND Library Plays we give
you the famous Agatha Christie mystery A Murder is Announced. A play full of twists,
turns, mystery, and intrigue that will have you guessing

whodunit until the very end.

My thanks go out to the cast for their intelligent and detailed portrayal of these
characters. Under the guidance of our directing team, I am thrilled to work once again
with ND Grad of 2012 Giuliano Vigna, the students have eagerly probed into their characters backgrounds and delved into the reasons for their characters choices and
decisions, and are ready to shroud the mystery with many layers of intrigue.

This production could never happen without the many talents of the rest of our
indomitable team led by Producer, Costume Designer, Set Designer and Constructor,
and, Chief Bucket Washer (as Mitzi would say) Mrs. Jessica Isherwood, and Technical
Director, Set Designer and Constructor, Mr. Justin Rugge who have created a country
manor home in the 1930s along with the continued help and support of super grad
Brian Briones.
Many thanks go out to: the relentless prop mistress Ms. Catrina Centanni; the creative
program master Mr. Maurizio Di Donato; to the quick-drawing make-up artists Mr.
Dardano, Mrs. Dawn Oswald, Mrs. Sharon Sullivan & Ms. Cristina Adiletta; to
the vivacious hairstylist Mrs. Rina Busse and her talented team of grads including Ms.
Nicole Almeida, and Ms. Adelina Manzo; to the staff members who help in so many ways
behind the scenes; and the never-failing support from the administration team of

Special thank you to:

the Burnaby Village Museum

Finally we would like to offer a very special thank you to our patient and gracious

Mrs. Christina Sinosich and

librarian, Mr. McCracken, for allowing us to invade this corner of the school for the fifth
and final time.
Please join us in May for Footloose, our very first show back home,
