The Penny Award went to Jen Morton for her outstanding help with the Jr. Actorsingers.
The Liljeberg/Badeau Wall of Fame Award was presented to Tom Ritrovato for his years of dedication to
The Actorsingers, both in front and behind the scenes. The award was also given posthumously to Janet Christie,
who was a fixture in the costume room and an usher for every show.
An Unsung Hero Award went to Donna Metzger, who wears many hats in supporting the organization .
A Presidents Award was given by President, Kathy LeClair, to Evelynn Decker, for the second year! Evelynn
has gone above and beyond in her dedication to The Actorsingers.
The Actorsingers Scholarship Congratulations to Andrew Holland, Hannah Benson, Alex Hebert, Jacob
Lavoie, Sean Fitzgerald and Sean Vigeant recipients of the 2015 Actorsingers Scholarship awarded to
graduating High School Seniors who have participated in Actorsingers. Good luck to these graduates who will be
attending college in the fall. This years Scholarship is in memory of Life Member Janet Christie and past member
Joanne Duhamel. Thank you to the Committee Chuck Emmons, David Miller, Kathy LeClair, Evelynn
Decker, Kerry Schneider and (outsider) Brenda Poznanski.
A huge Thank you to Lorraine Louie for her work on the candygrams that are sold at shows to benefit the
Scholarship fund. You would be surprised at how those $2 sweet things add up!

Actorsingers Social committee invites everyone to a
Come learn about the show from the Directors: Daniel R. (Superman) Pelletier, Amanda Morgan (Musical
Director) and Danielle DiPasquale (Choreographer). Welcome to the Actorsingers!
Auditions:
Detailed requirements for each characters singing audition (pick 2 choices!) are posted on our Website under Into
the Woods, but here is the character breakdown: (All ages are approximate, based on those who audition). Although
there is no major dancing in this show, everyone should be able to move with some ability.
Narrator - An intellectual and pleasant story-teller who helps to orchestrate the show and illustrate lessons to the
audience. Male, 50-65 Range: G2 - E4
Cinderella - A young, earnest maiden who is constantly mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters. Female, 20-30
yrs old. Range: G3 - G5
Jack - The feckless Giant killer who is 'almost a man.' He is adventurous, naive, energetic, and bright-eyed. Male, 1625 yrs old. Range: B2 - G4
Jack's Mother - Browbeating and weary, Jack's protective mother who is independent, bold, and strong-willed.
Female, 50-65 yrs old. Range: Bb3 - Gb5
The Baker Harried, insecure, simple and loving, yet protective of his family. He wants his wife to be happy and is
willing to do anything to ensure it, but refuses to let others fight his battles. Male, 35-45 yrs old. Range: Ab2 - G4
The Baker's Wife - Determined and bright woman who wishes to be a mother. She leads a simple, yet satisfying life
and is very low-maintenance yet proactive in her endeavors. Female, 35-45 yrs old. Range: F3 - G5
Cinderella's Stepmother - Mean-spirited, demanding stepmother of Cinderella. 40-50 yrs old. Range: A3 - F#5
Florinda and Lucinda - Cinderella's stepsisters who are black of heart. They follow in their mother's footsteps of
abusing Cinderella. Female, 25-35 yrs old. Range: C4 - Ab5
Cinderellas Father Distant and uncaring. He looks for ways to move up the social ladder. Male, 40-50
Little Red Ridinghood - A spoiled young girl who is strong-willed, quick-witted, fearless, yet youthful and nave.
Female, 16-20 yrs old. Range: Bb3 - F5
The Witch - Sarcastic, ugly-then-gorgeous, obsessive protector of Rapunzel who is straightforward and aggressive.
Female, 35-55 yrs old. Range: F3 - G5
Cinderella's Mother Deceased. Her soul guards and aids her daughter from a tree. 40-55 yrs old. Range: E4 - F4
Mysterious Man - A mischievous vagrant and nosy meddler. He is a good-natured protector and observer. Male, 5065 yrs old. Range: G2 - Eb4
Wolf - Hungry and insatiable hunter who takes advantage of the weak by misleading and captivating his prey. Male,
30-35 yrs old. Range: Bb2 - Gb4
Granny - Little Reds grandmother, vengeful about her altercation with the wolf. Female, 50-65. Speaking role
Rapunzel - A loopy-but-lovely maiden who is sheltered by the Witch and terribly lonely. She yearns to experience
the world. Female, 20-30 yrs old. Range: B3 - A5
Cinderella's Prince - Vain and gorgeous, he is a disloyal lover who is currently searching for the next new, exciting
thing. Male, 30-40 yrs old. Range: B2 - F4
Rapunzel's Prince - Just as vain and gorgeous as his Prince brother, he is always chasing the newest, most exiting
endeavor. Male, 30-40 yrs old. Range: C#3 - E4
Steward - Cinderellas Princes right-hand man. Snobbish and deceitful. Takes action when needed. Male, any age
Giant (Voiceover) - The Giant's wife is an angry and vengeful 'monster.' She is seeking restitution for her loss.
Female, 40-60 yrs old. Speaking Role
Two females to play the small parts of Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, who would also be our puppeteers and
female swing/understudies.
Possibly doubled: Narrator/Mysterious Man; Cinderellas Mother/Granny/Giant; Wolf/Cinderellas Prince

pay dues for the aforementioned 3 shows or pay dues at the Annual Meeting). After 15 consecutive years of paying
dues and actively involved in at least one function per year, members become Life Members truly an honor for the

The Wedding Singer What a show! What energy! Boy, did they rock! Nothing but good comments from the
audience. Kudos to everyone who was involved in this Teen production from the talented cast to the dedicated crew
to the wonderful adult mentors. We couldnt do it without every one of you! And thanks for getting the Actorsingers
name out in the community by doing a Crazy Color Run at the Pheasant Lane Mall, and performing at Rib Fest, The
Boys and Girls Club, and at a Fisher Cats game. Thank you also to Ethan Kraus and Joey Tannaflo who stepped
into roles after the last Ovation was published.
The Board is looking for a new Chairperson to head the Policies and Procedures Committee. If interested, please

Thank you to the Social Committee for the cute Prom Night held back in May. Not only did they look good, but
everyone who attended enjoyed themselves!
The Nashua Stroll Even though The Nashua Stroll isnt until November, planning must begin now. Sarah
Desaulniers has agreed to spearhead/direct our participation in this event. Please contact Secretary@actorsingers.org
if you are interested in joining the fun. There are only a few rehearsals required for participation in this fabulous
community evening that sets the tone for the holiday season.

The Playreading Committee Donna Metzger coordinated the new committee and is searching for 3 more
people to serve in addition to Eric Hill, Lindsay Vago and Marc Murai. This committee is already searching for the
shows Actorsingers might perform in 2016/2017! If you have a show you would like considered, please submit it to
anyone on this committee. Please be reasonable with your suggestionsNo, we cant do The Lion King!
The Board is Seeking Directors for both the Jr. show (March 4-6, 2016) and Spamalot (May 13-15, 2016).
If you have a proposal for the Jr. show, please submit it.
Interviews for Spamalot will take place in the evening on Thursday, Sept 10th with the first interview slot at 7:00
PM. You may interview individually or as team.
To set up an interview time, please send a letter of interest and a resume by Thursday, September 3rd to Sarah

In and About Town Eric Skoglund was in Here, Not Here at the Playwrights Platform Festival in Boston and
will be in M & Ms upcoming show, Other Desert Cities. Barbara Lawler, Mia Berardi and Stuart Harmon are
featured singers in Songs For A New World, under the direction of Tom Ritrovato and produced by Rick Brooks for
Genesys theater. Rich Rothbell had a cameo appearance on TVs American Odyssey. Majestics West Side Story,
choreographed by Jen Sassak and musically directed by Judy Hayward featured Tina Cassidy, Katie Tocci, Logan
Higgins and Dereck Deblois. Lauren Friedman was in NYMMTs Something Wonderful I Missed Musicals of
1985. Mike Wood is directing Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Glen Grimard, Caity Glover and Kevin Linkroum for
Milford Area Players. Glen also recently appeared in Majestics The Fox on the Fairway. Nick Masson had to drop
out of the Teen production of The Wedding Singer because he was just cast in the tour of Newsies!!! Wow! (shades
of Jerry Tellier for those Actorsingers old enough to remember). Congratulations to Chris and Bill Wenrich whose
daughters just graduated from Canisius College. Catherine earned a BA in Animal Behavior with a minor in Zoo
Biology while Sarah earned a BA in Psychology with a double minor in Animal Behavior and Clinical Psychology
with adolescents. Happy 1st Anniversary to Joel and Laura Iwaskiewicz! Jessica Vaughn bid farewell and sang for
the last time with her band, A Simple Complex. Congrats to Life Member, Sue Koczarski on becoming a Grandma
again this past June. Mike Bradburys son, Colin, was a dancer in the Broadway ensemble of the one night
phenomenon, Bombshell. Shaina Schwartz has founded Touche Taps, a new Dance company. Their first
performance was in July and sister, Leah, was in the troupe. Congratulations to Dana Siegal for being awarded the
Myra Kraft Charitable Foundation Community MVP for her incredible work with the charity, Voices of Hope. Major
kudos to Jessica Dee on her DASH/EMACT nomination for Best Supporting Actress in Urinetown and Best Actress
in a Play for Comic Potential. Long time member, Liz Ierardi tells me that her son, Jim, is the lead singer in the
progressive band, Legacy, based in Los Angeles.

Monty Pythons Spamalot is a highly irreverent musical comedy adapted from the 1975 film, Monty Python and
the Holy Grail. This Tony Award winning show lampoons the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the
Round Table. Songs include Find Your Grail, Hes Not Dead Yet, The Song that Goes Like This, and Always Look
on the Bright Side of Life. and dont forget the bevy of beautiful dancing girls!..and the cowand the killer
