Simone Biles

Q1) Simone’s early life

Simone was born in Ohio, USA in 1997. When she was very young, she was adopted by her
grandparents, she was always a very active child, who loved jumping around, then her life
changed at the age of six, on a school trip to a gymnastics center. There, a coach noticed her
natural talent and invited her to join a class. From that moment she worked hard to become an
excellent gymnast.

Q2) Present-day success

In 2014, she became the first women in 40 years to win gold medals at the World
Championships!

Q3) Her Journey to Stardom

Simone has had setbacks in her journey to stardom, but she has never given up. In 2011, she
just missed being selected for the national team. She Was DEVESTATED, but she stayed strong
and positive and used the experience to improve. Three years later her determination was
rewarded:
