Tips To Solve Case Studies in Management

1) Read and examine the case thoroughly. Highlight critical

incidents of the case. Understand the characters of the case and
their profiles
2) Identify 2-5 problem areas. What was the source of the problem?
Who is responsible for the problem? How did the problem impact
the organization?
3) Review the theoretical underpinnings to the identified problems
and integrate the two. Frameworks, models, theories related to
solving the problem may be explored and elaborated. Suggest
probable solutions to the problems. Personal experience may
also be explored here if it relates to similar problems
experienced.
4) Select the best solution feasible in the current circumstances.
Reason for selecting the solution must be given. The solution
may be a short term and a long term solution or only a short term
solution depending upon the impact of the problem on the
functioning of the organization.
5) You may recommend some strategies on implementing the
solutions. You may identify characters from the case who you
think would be ideally suited to implement the solution and justify
choice of the person.
