Hinduism is the world's oldest religion, according to many scholars, with roots and customs dating back

more than 4,000 years. Today, with more than 1 billion followers, in which around 90% of followers lives
in India.

Hinduism is just not only a religion, it’s like a way of life.

According to Hinduism, three Gods rule the world. Brahma: the creator; Vishnu: the preserver and Shiva:
the destroyer.

Hindus worship many gods and goddesses. Some of the most prominent deities include:

Brahma: the god responsible for the creation of the world and all living things

Vishnu: the god that preserves and protects the universe.

Shiva: the god that destroys the universe in order to recreate it.

Devi: the goddess that fights to restore dharma.

Lakshmi: the goddess of wealth and purity

Saraswati: the goddess of knowledge

Places of Worship: Hindu worship, which is known as “puja,” typically takes place in the Mandir
(temple). Hindus can also worship at home, and many have a special shrine dedicated to certain gods
and goddesses.

Hinduism respects all religions and their beliefs

Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is a Sanskrit phrase found in Hindu texts such as the Maha Upanishad, which
means "The World Is One Family". The idea of the phrase remains relevant today as it emphasizes a
global perspective, prioritizing the collective well-being over individual or family interests.

Festivals: Diwali, Holi, Rakshabandhan, Navratri and Vijyadashmi, Ganesh Chaturthi

Nature worship: Tress like Basils, Banyan Tree, Indian goose Barry, River, rocks/hills,

Animal worship

Hindus believe we have four goals in life: Dharma (conducting ourselves in a way conducive to spiritual
advancement), Artha (the pursuit of material prosperity), Kama (enjoyment of the material world), and
Moksha (liberation from the attachments caused by dependence on the material world and from the
cycle of birth and rebirth).

Hinduism Holy Books: The Vedas are made up of:

The Rig Veda, The Samaveda, Yajurveda and Atharvaveda

The Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, 18 Puranas, Ramayana and Mahabharata are also considered
important texts in Hinduism.
