Biography

Brian Katona COMPOSER/LYRICS


Brian is a composer, pianist and conductor of theatre/film/television and classical
music. His compositions and arrangements have been performed in Los Angeles, New
York, the Aspen Music Festival, and appeared on television and film. His brass and
orchestral music is published by the Imagine Music in New York.
He recently completed two years of training at the prestigious BMI Lehman Engel
Musical Theatre Workshop and is now collaborating with Broadway lyricist/librettist
Barry Harman (ROMANCE, ROMANCE) on three new musicals, JESSE JAMES,
LONGING TO CONNECT and EMPRESS. Katona’s television and film credits include:
copyist/transcriber for DreamWorks, LIDSVILLE (Glenn Slater, Alan Menken),
composer for the sitcom, MY SPIRITED SISTER, composer for the PBS documentary,
ROUND VALLEY and composer for the film ROBBERY OF THE HEART directed by
Micah Brandt.
This past Holiday season, Katona’s music was featured on the Christmas albums
of America's Got Talent finalist, Branden James and star of Broadway's Lion King,
Derrick Davis and was premiered at Lincoln Center.
Dr. Katona has served as Associate Conductor of the Trenton Symphony
Orchestra and is currently a professor at Rutgers University and the coordinator of their
new BFA Musical Theatre program.
Member of: Dramatists Guild, the Songwriters Guild of America, BMI Inc.,
League of American Orchestras, The Society Of Composers and Lyricists, and the
Directory Of Contemporary Musical Theater.

Cara Parmigiani CREATOR/WRITER/LYRICS


Cara is the creator of PONIES AT LAW and several other short films such as
KICKING MARIAS. She is an attorney licensed in New Jersey and New York. PONIES
AT LAW is a semi-autobiographical work depicting her struggle with her love for art
while in the practice of law.
She is a self-taught graphic artist who specializes in combining photography and
comic art to blur the boundaries between real and surreal. She has exhibited her artwork
in over 30 shows and written two graphic novels, DEATH DEFYING and SEARCH
FOR THE MODERN MUMMY.
She is also the Creative Director and Founder, of Near Enemy Creative LLC,
which develops scripts, direction, acting, puppeteering, and production of films, and
designs graphic arts including media packages, web comics, and exhibits. It has hosted

Kane Prestenback PUPPETEER/SINGER “TRISTAN”


Kane has appeared at NYMF, Gallery Players, Circle in the Square (w/ Theodore
Mann), The Public Theater, Westside Theatre, Symphony Space, and with Gorilla Rep,
Old Vic New Voices & John Gould Rubin. Regional credits include the post-Broadway

premiere of "A Year with Frog and Toad" at Orlando Repertory Theatre, Luna Stage,
Swine Palace Productions, Shakespeare & Co, Mad Cow Theatre, and Nathan Leopold in
the Southeastern regional premiere of "Thrill Me." Other notable roles include “The
Tallest Building in the World” World-Premiere, "Urinetown: The Musical" (Bobby
Strong), “What the Butler Saw" (Nicholas Beckett), "Little Shop of Horrors" (Seymour),
"Sweeney Todd" (Tobias), Arthur Miller’s "The American Clock" (Arthur A. Robertson),
and "Kid-Simple" (Oliver). Kane made his London Theatrical debut at The Old Vic with
the TS Eliot US/UK Exchange, hosted by Kevin Spacey, in Anna Moench's
"Halo/Titanic." Training: Circle in the Square Theatre School. Additional training in

Daniel Fay PUPPETEER/SINGER “PASCAL”


Daniel is a New York based artist, puppeteer, writer, director, theater owner,
producer, teacher and performer. He attended The Pratt Institute, where he studied
painting, art education, and object-based theater under Theodora Skipitares Daniel has
performed on such illustrious stages as St. Ann's Warehouse, Berkeley Repertory, The
Public Theater and Lincoln Center's Metropolitan Opera House. Some of his stage
performance credits include Compulsion directed by Oscar Eustis, which also ran at Yale
Repertory as well as Berkley Repertory and The Ring Cycle at The Metroploitan Opera
for two seasons. Daniel's performance credits include both stage and screen as do his
puppet design and building credits. He has self-produced many of his own pieces and has
received critical acclaim including Land of Shadow, Savage Radio Plays and Point
Pleasant.
He has traveled far and wide to study puppetry. In 2003 he traveled to China to
observe Chinese puppetry and in 2009 he received an FFT grant to study classical
wayang in Bali with Wayang Wija. Next summer he will attend a residency to study
Czech marionette carving and performance.
He is currently developing puppets for a film, Gutboy directed by Nick Grant. He
is also working on his Point Pleasant which will open at Standard Toykraft, the theater
he co-founded and works as artistic director.
