Course (CEN-120)
The security system comprises eight different sensors, including motion detectors,
door/window sensors, and temperature sensors. In addition to sensor data, the security system
has eight security measures such as door locks, alarms, and surveillance cameras.
Construct the circuit to connect these sensors to the 74HC151 for Multiplexing
Operation and 74HC151 as a 1-of-8 decoder to control these security measures.
Identify the role of the address lines (A, B, C) in selecting and transmitting data from a
specific sensor to the central processing unit and the address lines (A, B, C) repurposed
to selectively activate one of the security measures based on specific condition.

Explain the solution in detail with the help of logical circuit diagram, truth table and
justification.
