Fair Wage and Compensation for Vendors resources Spot Check

Frequency:

 Once a year, 4 random resources Spot check.

How:

 Archiving of spot checks in Mendix tool – Solution to be designed in a tool.

Questionnaire, MS Form.
- Check of minimum age ( 18 years ) of deployed resources
- Check of availability of Appointment Letters , employment contracts & termination
letter issued to the sources deployed.
- Ensure that no employee is deployed with salary less than minimum wage announced
per country laws
- Check on payroll timings
- Payments of over time and bonus and proof of same for sampled employees to be
selected from our Siemens deployed resources
- Check of proof that deployed resources are being insured under Group Insurance for
medical
- Check of Proof and Record of payment of Gratuity / end of service benefit to Employees
in case of lay off.
- Check of any Unlawful termination, retrenchment and dismissal of workers. This is by
checking proof of compensation pay off is available or not.
- Check if the workers medically examined and inoculated against epidemic diseases.
- Check if basic compliance to law and code of conduct trainings provided to deployed
resources.

Health and Safety Requirements.


- Check of Health and Safety measures adapted / training provided by service provider to
deployed resources i.e.
 HSE risk assessment
 Fire Safety
 First Aid
 Electric Safety
 Machine Safety
Other Statutory Requirements.
- Check of Registration with EOBI of each resourced deployed at Siemens
- Collect proof of payment of EOBI monthly Contribution ( Payment Challans ) for the
deployed resources.
- Check of Registration with respective Provincial Social Security Department of each
resourced deployed at Siemens
- Collect proof of payment of Social Security monthly Contribution ( Payment Challans )
for the deployed resources.
- Check of Record of Payment of 5% of profit under Companies Profits (Workers
Participation) in Profits Act maintained?
- Is Record of Payment of Amount of Compensation for Total/Partial Disablement arising
out of accidents maintained?
- Does Contractor provide legal benefits to worker i.e., Leave, Holidays,
