LIBRARY SKILLS TASK PROMPT (5%)

ENG 102

The Library Task comprises 5% of the final course grade. You will be asked to locate
possible texts for your essay through the library search systems. This assignment is to take
place following the library session and after the essay has been assigned.

PART 1

Locate 3 academic and appropriate sources from different genres which are relevant to your
essay topic by using electronic and/ or library search systems and follow the guided instructions
to record information from your research activity, according to the tables below. If the source
you have found includes additional information needed in its reference, you should add it to
the chart. For example, if you find a book with an editor, you should write “editor” in the left
hand column and record it.

If you find a source type which is not listed below you may include it under the “other” table. If
you do so, you must identify the source type and record any information required to create a
reference for that source type.
