1. The document outlines objectives for an EP to showcase arranging abilities by taking songs from different genres and transforming them into the "epic" genre through various production techniques.
2. Three songs are identified for arrangement - "Be Prepared" from The Lion King for its existing epic qualities, "Friends on the Other Side" from The Princess and the Frog for its jazz influences and changing rhythms, and "Sympathy for the Devil" for its repetitive structure.
3. The songs are described as having similar emphases on rhythm and beat that build to conclusions, and tell stories from an evil perspective.

1. The purpose of this EP is to showcase my ability to take songs and be
able to change them into a more heavier “epic” genre using techniques and styles showcasing my personal ability to arrange pieces. 2. Be prepared (the lion King) this song could already be considered within a “epic” genre due to its heavy use of orchestra already within a chorus that harmonizes through out the main motif. The rhythm is also heavily march beat throughout the begininning which gets louder when it builds its climax at the end of the song. Friends on the other side (the princess and the frog) again another ballad song though is much more bluesy with use of jazz structure within the song as it builds in sections rather then having a set structure for the entire song, with usage of different rhythmic beats that change the speed of certain sections by going fast or slower. This also has multiple climaxes in the song as it runs through a more story telling element within it, but fantastic melodic phrasing to be able to create a more emphasize on harmonization within chorus and instrumentation. Sympathy for the devil (Rolling Stones) this song is an extremely repetitive song that follows two sections, the main verse section where the story is told and the chorus section where repeated lyrics are used under changed chords. these songs overall are similar in ways of rhythm and heavy emphasize on the beat being fluid towards conclusions within the structure of each song. As well contextually lyrical wise all the stories are from the perspective of evil and their want to see or take control of something they desire.
