DDE FAULT CODE: 28DE00 - EXHAUST GAS

PRESSURE SENSOR BEFORE TURBINE, PLAUSIBILITY

MODEL
F02 (740Ld xDrive) With N57T diesel engine only F10 (535d) F15 (X5 xDrive 35d)

SITUATION
After performing repairs where the engine harness was disconnected and reconnected at the
differential pressure and the exhaust pressure sensor, the following fault is then stored in the DDE:

z 28DE00 - Exhaust gas pressure sensor before Turbine, plausibility: exhaust gas pressure in
front of turbine dynamically not plausible

CAUSE

The connectors for the differential pressure sensor (1)

and the exhaust gas pressure sensor (2) are coded the
same.
The connectors are in close proximity to each
other and can easily be interchanged/swapped with
each other in error.

CORRECTION
Switch the connectors back to the proper sensor.

PROCEDURE

Attention: When performing repairs that require the connectors to be removed from the

pressure sensors: always mark off the differential pressure sensor connector (1) to ensure it is
reconnected correctly.
