Piping Design and Analysis

Course Description

The course is design to provide both theoretical understanding of piping concepts, design
considerations, piping supports, stress analysis, process flow diagram, piping and
instrumentation diagrams and pipeline as a means of fluid transportation, linked to practical
engineering principles, guidelines, codes, and standards in the concept of piping design in
process industries including oil and gas, water piping system, utility piping etc. It provides the
basic underpinning engineering knowledge and theories, equations and models; through the
practical applications using case studies of several piping from the facilitator work experience
at each stage of the training, as well as including software modelling and simulation for
specific stage of design. This unique combination of theory, videos, case studies and software
model training could help engineers to bridge their theory and practice understanding in the
design of gas pipelines.

Course Objectives
