Cell phones have become one of the most common pieces of technology used in society today. It
has also developed a vital role in the education system. However, some say that it is a distraction
for the youths and that it may cause more harm than good. Research has indicated that the
majority of schools worldwide have banned its use in the classroom whereas quite a few have
invited its assistance into the teaching environment. The use of cellular phones in the
classroom is beneficial as it gives students access to unlimited resources, new skills for the
digital age as well as it provides a new way of learning that is comfortable for everyone.

Firstly, utilizing cell phones during class time provides students with unlimited resources like
reading material, animated videos and illustrations to assist them in better understanding the
topic that is being taught. By doing so, it encourages students to engage in more class discussions
and participate better in activities since these extra educational support will open up their way of
thinking and widen their perspective. In addition, it is also favourable for topics of current events
that might not have been covered in textbooks yet.

Subsequently, the use of cell phones enhances the digital skills of the student to better equip
them for the future of technology. This may include improving Emailing skills, which is one of
the most common ways of communicating in present times. Furthermore, it amplifies strategy
and planning, content marketing and videography skills which will benefit individuals later on in
the work sector as well.

Moreover, smartphones are young-person intuitive. Students are accustomed to using it,
therefore, they will be more comfortable in a familiar environment thus allowing them to better
comprehend the lesson. In addition to this, not all students adapt to the same method of learning.
Some may be visual learners while others can possibly adjust to auditory learning. A cell phone
in a classroom can provide everyone’s needs which in turn, produces a better educational setting.

In conclusion, students should be allowed to use their cell phones during class as it has several
positive effects on the learning system like providing extra resources, skills and different
methods of learning which are all beneficial to a student’s academic life. Nevertheless, they
must not abuse the internet freedom that they will be provided with during class time as the cell
phones are for educational purposes only.
