Introduction

Whatever the reason is for which you’re


avoiding sugar, we get it! Sometimes going
sugar-free is necessary, but that doesn’t mean
you have to miss out on everything that’s
delicious in life! That’s why we’ve put our
sugar-free hat on and made a collection of the
best recipes out there, both sweet and savory!
Sugar-Free Cravings is the only sugar-free
cookbook you’ll need! Its recipes are so
delicious that you’ll barely be able to tell
none of them having any sugar. You might,
but others around you will be oblivious to
how healthy what they’re eating is because of
how delicious everything is. We’re telling
you, sugar-free has never been more
delicious!
All we need is a couple of pantry staples,
fruits, vegetables, and that’s it! No sugar! So
while you flip through the pages of this
cookbook, we’ll go ahead and start chopping
up some veggies for a couple of these recipes.
Hopefully, within 10-15 minutes, though,
we’ll be able to start cooking because we’re
kind of hungry, and our blood sugar is low,
so hurry! If you’re looking for someone to
point you in the right direction, we suggest
zucchini chips, teriyaki chicken, and lemon

Recipe 1 - Sugar Free
Chocolate Gooey Cake

This recipe has had many titles. I like this


version. It is chocolatey and gooey. It makes
for a wonderful dessert for a get-together.
Duration: 20 minutes
Makes: 10
Ingredient List:
Almond flour, 1 ½ cups
Pecan meal, ½ cup
Artificial sweetener, 2 Tbs.
Butter, 1/3 cup
Cream Cheese Layer:
Heavy cream, ¼ cup
Powdered artificial sweetener, ¼ cup
Vanilla, ½ teaspoons
Cream Cheese, 1- 8 oz. pkg., at room
temperature
Pudding Layer:
Heavy cream, 1 ½ cups
Almond milk, ½ cup, Unsweetened
Artificial sweetener, ½ cup
Dark chocolate, 3 oz., sugar free
Butter, 2 Tbs.
Vanilla, 1 teaspoon
Whipped Cream Layer:
Heavy Cream, 1 ½ cups
Artificial sweetener, 2 Tbs.
Vanilla, ½ teaspoons

Preparation:
Prepare crust and bake for 15 minutes. Mix
the cream cheese layer ingredients and pour
over the crust. Melt chocolate and add the
other ingredients for the pudding layer. Pour
on top of cream cheese layer. Mix the
ingredients for the whipped cream layer. Pour
on top of chocolate layer. Shave some dark
chocolate and sprinkle over top layer.
Recipe 2 - Baked Banana
Chips

A healthy snack for everyone. This is not


necessarily a dessert dish, but they are good
to have on hand when you crave something
sweet.
Duration: 10 minutes

Ingredient List:
Bananas, 10 ripe, sliced thin
Lemon juice, 1 lemon

Preparation:
Combine bananas with lemon juice. Bake on
sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Bake
for 2 to 3 hours on 200F. Let cool and store.
Serve with other fruit and whip cream to
make a dessert.
Recipe 3 - Sugar Free
Coconut Pie

Finding a good coconut pie is a challenge of


mine. I enjoy a well-made coconut pie. I
always try a slice if a restaurant advertises
homemade coconut pie. It is worth the taste;
however, my recipe is sugar free.
Duration: 15 minutes
Makes: 6
Ingredient List:
Artificial sweetener, 4 teaspoons
Cornstarch, ¼ cup
Salt, ½ teaspoons
Milk, 3 ¼ cups
Coconut, 1 cup, unsweetened
Pie Shell, 1 9-inch, baked
Whip Cream, for topping

Preparation:
Combine milk, cornstarch, salt and artificial
sweetener in pan. Boil for 1 minute on
medium heat. Remove and add the vanilla.
Pour in prepared pie shell. Let cool and store
in refrigerator until time to serve. You can
toast some coconut and sprinkle on top of pie.
Recipe 4 - Sugar Free
Lemon Mousse

Lemon is my favorite flavor for making


dessert. This smooth mousse will tantalize the
tongue. Add a little sugar free whipped cream
for added flavor.
Duration: 15 minutes

Heavy whipping cream, 1 carton
Instant Pudding, sugar free, 1 pkg.

Preparation:
Prepare pudding according to directions on
box. Use whipping cream instead of milk.
Beat to thicken. Pour into pudding bowls or
glasses. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Top
with whipped topping.
Recipe 5 - Sugar Free
Peanut Butter Bars

Peanut butter recipes are the best. Add a little


chocolate and other ingredients and you have
the perfect dessert. A lot of peanut butter is
eaten and used in recipes at our house.
Duration: 15 minutes

Ingredient List:
Rice Chex cereal, 3 cups
Chocolate chips, 1 ½ cups, sugar free
Peanut Butter, 1 cup
Maple Syrup, ½ cup
Coconut Oil, ¼ cup

Preparation:
Combine chocolate chips, peanut butter,
maple syrup and oil. Cook in microwave until
the chocolate chips are melted, then stir
together. Pour over rice Chex cereal and
combine. Pour into a dish that is lined with
foil or parchment paper. Let cool and set up.
Once cooled, slice and serve.
Recipe 6 - Sugar Free
Chocolate Banana Bread

I made this recipe last night and I must say,


you cannot tell that it is sugar free. It tastes
great with a little whipped cream on top while
it is still warm.

Ingredient List:
Bananas, 2, ripe
Almond Flour, 2 cups
Cocoa, ½ cup, unsweetened
Coconut sugar, 1 cup
Salt, ½ teaspoons
Vanilla, 1 teaspoon
Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 teaspoon
Coconut Oil, 1/3 cup
Water, ¾ cup

Preparation:
Combine all ingredients. Oil a loaf pan and
pour the chocolate mixture in. Bake for 45
minutes in a 350F preheated oven. Serve with
whip cream or ice cream.

Strawberry Tart

Strawberry season always bring fresh recipe


ideas. My family enjoy strawberry pie, so I
decided a tart would be wonderful. It was.
The best part is that it was sugar free.

Graham Cracker Crust, sugar free
Artificial sweetener, ½ cup
Coconut Cream, 2 cups
Vanilla extract, ½ teaspoons
Strawberries, 1 lb., cleaned and

Preparation:
You can either make your graham cracker
crust in a springform pan or use a store bough
sugar free graham cracker crust. Mix the
coconut cream, sweetener and vanilla extract
until thick. Pour over crust. Layer
strawberries on top. Refrigerate until time to
serve.
Recipe 8 - Sugar Free
Banana Pudding

This is a Sunday dinner dessert. I remember


growing up with my Mom’s banana pudding.
I probably ate too much of it. I have now
made my recipe sugar free and it still just as
delicious.
Duration: 15 minutes

Vanilla pudding, 1 box, sugar free
Milk, 3 cups
Bananas, 3, large, sliced
Vanilla wafers, 1 box, sugar free

Preparation:
Prepare pudding according to box. Layer the
ingredients beginning with the vanilla wafers.
Vanilla wafers first, bananas and pudding.
Keep layering until pudding is gone. Add
whip cream to the top and serve. Keep in
refrigerator until time to serve.

Recipe 9 - Sugar Free
Green Bean Casserole

This is a favorite of my family for the


holidays. Now it is even better with the no
sugar version. One of my daughters is
diabetic and I try to prepare dishes she can
eat.
Duration: 20 minutes

Ingredient List:
Green Beans, 4 cans, drained
Sour cream, 1/3 cup
Cheddar Cheese, ½ cup shredded
Unsweetened almond milk, ¼ cup
Oat fiber, 2 Tbs.
Salt, ¼ teaspoons
Pepper, ¼ teaspoons
Onion Powder, ¼ teaspoons
Rye Crackers, crushed for topping
Butter, 2 Tbs.

Preparation:
Combine sour cream, cheese, almond milk,
oat fiber, salt, pepper and onion powder. Add
the green beans. Mix the butter and rye
crackers to make a crumble. Sprinkle over the
beans. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes.
Recipe 10 - Cucumber
Salad

If you have cucumbers abundant in your


garden. This will be ideal for a cucumber
salad. My mother used to serve a lot of this
during the summer months.
Duration: 15 minutes

Cucumbers, 5, peeled and sliced
Onion, 1, sliced and separated
Apple Cider Vinegar, ¼ cup
Water, ¾ cup
Ranch dressing, ¼ cup

Preparation:
Slice cucumbers and onions thinly. Place into
a bowl. Mix vinegar, water and ranch
dressing together. Pour over cucumbers. Chill
in refrigerator until ready to serve.
Recipe 11 - Sugar Free
Broccoli Salad

This makes a wonderful side dish for any get


together. It can be served as a side or a main
dish. It also makes a good lunch to take to
work.
Duration: 30 minutes

Ingredient List:
Broccoli, 8 cups, chopped
Raisins, 1 cup
Red Onion, 1 cup, diced
Almonds, ½ cup
Tofu, 1 pkg.
Garlic Powder, 1 teaspoon
Vinegar, 3 Tbs.
Artificial Sweetener, 2 pkgs.
Salt, ¼ teaspoons

Preparation:
Combine the broccoli, raisins, onions and
almonds. Mix together the tofu, garlic
powder, vinegar, sweetener and salt. Mix
well and pour over broccoli mix and stir.
Serve at once or store in refrigerator.

Cauliflower Pretend
Potato Salad

This is an unbelievable dish. It is wonderful


tasting. You almost feel like you are
indulging in a heaping bowl of potato salad.
Low carb content also.
Duration: 30 minutes

Ingredient List:
Cauliflower, 1 head, chopped
Hard boiled eggs, 3, chopped
Mayonnaise, 1 Tbs.
Sour Cream, 1 Tbs.
Onion, 1, chopped
Mustard, 1 Tbs.
Salt, 1 teaspoon
Pepper, 1 teaspoon
Paprika, for sprinkling

Preparation:
Cook cauliflower and drain. Add the
remaining ingredients. Store in refrigerator
until time to serve. Sprinkle with paprika
before serving.
Recipe 13 - Sugar Free
Baked Beans

Baked beans are a great dish to serve at any


get together. Whether it is BBQ’s or a
Sunday family dinner, they are incredibly
versatile an add to the meal.
Duration: 5 minutes

Ingredient List:
Navy Beans, 2 cans, rinsed and
drained
Onion, 1 diced
Bacon, 2 Tbs., chopped
Maple Syrup, 3 Tbs. sugar- free
Pepper, ¼ teaspoons
Tomato Sauce, 1 can
Brown Sugar, 1 ½ Tbs.
Worcestershire Sauce, 1 Tbs.
BBQ sauce, ½ cup, sugar free

Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in baking dish.
Sprinkle bacon on top. Bake at 350F for 30
minutes or until beans are bubbling. Serve
warm or cold. Delicious either way.
Recipe 14 - Sugar Free
Macaroni and Cheese

It is standard procedure to always have a mac


and cheese recipe, it is the ultimate comfort
food. It does not matter that it is sugar free.
Everyone love homemade dish.
Duration: 30 minutes

Ingredient List:
Low carb Pasta, 2 cups
Cheddar Cheese, 2 cups, shredded
Almond Milk, ½ cup, unsweetened
Whipping Cream, ¼ cup
Butter, 2 Tbs.
Salt, ½ teaspoons

Preparation:
Cook pasta according to box directions. Drain
and add all other ingredients. Combine until
the cheese is melted good. Serve warm or

Roasted Radishes

This is a new dish my sister introduced to me.


It is very tasty. I now enjoy radishes in my
salad especially when sprinkled with a little
salt, but I had never tried them roasted!

Ingredient List:
Radishes, 1 small pkg.
Butter, 2 Tbs., melted
Ranch dressing, 2 Tbs.
Parmesan Cheese, ¼ teaspoons
Garlic Powder, ¼ teaspoons
Dill weed, ¼ teaspoons
Salt, 1/8 teaspoons
Pepper, ¼ teaspoons

Preparation:
Clean radishes and slice them in half.
Combine the butter and ranch dressing. Pour
into large storage bad and add the radishes.
Shake to coat well. Spread the radishes on
cookie sheet. Sprinkle with the remaining
ingredients and bake for 10 minutes at 400F.

Ham Rollups

These are especially popular around the


holidays. They make a great dish to take to
the office parties and to your friends.

Ingredient List:
Cream cheese, 1- 8 oz. pkg.
Black Forrest Ham, 1 pkg.
Turkey, 1 pkg.
Low-carb tortillas, 1 pkg., small

Preparation:
Dry the ham slices. Spread the cream cheese
on the ham. Add turkey. Place on the tortilla
and roll gently. Hold closed with a toothpick
while slicing into pinwheels. Serve with a
side dip or alone. These turkey roll-ups make
a great appetizer.

Zucchini Chips

If you have extra garden zucchini, here is the


recipe for you. Bake a batch of zucchini chips
to serve to family or guests. Add a nice
homemade dip and you have the perfect
snack.

Zucchini, 4 med., sliced thin
Olive Oil, ½ cup
Sea Salt, 1 teaspoon

Preparation:
Wash the zucchini and slice thin. Place in
bowl and pour olive oil over the zucchini.
Layer on sheet pan lined with parchment
paper. Sprinkle salt over the chips. Bake at
350F for 30 minutes or until crisp. Serve with
a nice homemade ranch dip.

Sweet Potato Chips

We are always in need of a quick snack or


appetizer. These sweet potato chips are
delicious and have no added sugar. Indulge in
eating chips again.

Sweet Potatoes, 4, sliced thin

Preparation:
Clean and slice the sweet potatoes very thin.
Toss the sweet potatoes in olive oil. Layer on
sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Bake
at 350F for 30 minutes or until golden brown
and crisp around the edges. Store or serve.
Recipe 19 - Sugar Free
BBQ Sauce

There definitely must be a BBQ sauce for


grilling or dipping. This sweet sauce will get
the taste buds revved up for the meal.
Duration: 15 minutes

Ingredient List:
1 Tbs. olive oil
½ cup onion, minced
Garlic Powder, 1 teaspoon
2 Beef Bouillon cubes, dissolved
18 oz. Tomato Paste
2 Tbs. Artificial Sweetener
1 ½ teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Tbs. mustard
½ teaspoons Onion Powder
1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke

Preparation:
Sauté the onions in the olive oil. Combine
separately all ingredients except the bouillon
cubes. Dissolve the bouillon cube to water
and add to the onions. Bring to a boil. Add
the remaining ingredients and simmer for 30
minutes. Store in refrigerator when cooled.
Recipe 20 - Sugar Free
Sweet Creamy Dipping
Sauce

I love dipping sauce! I dip chips, chicken


tenders and pizza all the time. This sauce is
wonderful with chicken strips.
Duration: 10 minutes

Mayonnaise, 1 cup

Heat oil in skillet. Meanwhile, mix the

powder. Add the beef strips and coat well.

minutes. Mix the soy sauce, brown sugar,
ginger and water. Pour over beef and
broccoli. Cook a few minutes more. Serve
over rice.
